Between Cobra Kai, Eagle Fang, and Miyagi-Do Karate, many Cobra Kai fans likely have an idea of which dojo they would join. The three schools have very different styles, but they often teach valuable lessons. Even some of the non-karate-fighting cast members have pondered which dojo would suit them best. Milena Rivero, the actor behind new character Lia, shared her thoughts in a recent interview.

‘Cobra Kai’ introduces Lia as a catalyst for the feud between Kenny and Anthony

Milena Rivero might not appear as Lia in too many episodes of Cobra Kai Season 4, but the character is crucial to the story. When a new student named Kenny (Dallas Dupree Young) moves to the Valley, he quickly takes a liking to Lia as the two bond over a video game. However, Kenny’s bully, Anthony LaRusso (Griffin Santopietro), has a crush on Lia, too.

Anthony’s feelings for Lia cause his bullying to escalate. He and his friends catfish Kenny and humiliate him, which ultimately leads Kenny to join Cobra Kai Karate. After training with John Kreese (Martin Kove) and Robby (Tanner Buchanan), Kenny becomes violent toward Anthony.

The two fight a few times, but Lia doesn’t seem to be aware of their feelings for her. It’s unclear if her role will continue in season 5.

Milena Rivero chooses between Cobra Kai, Eagle Fang, and Miyagi-Do

During an appearance on the Cobra Kai Kompanion podcast, Rivero dished on her dojo of choice — Kreese’s Cobra Kai, Johnny Lawrence’s (William Zabka) Eagle Fang, or Daniel LaRusso’s (Ralph Macchio) Miyagi-Do.

“Most likely Cobra Kai, if I’m being completely honest,” she revealed.

Cobra Kai’s students sometimes have a rocky reputation as the bad guys of the Netflix show. However, their karate skills are undeniable, which is why Rivero thinks she would fight with them.

“They’ve won so many things. They have a reputation of winning, and I kind of want to be on the winner’s side,” she added.

That’s fair. And as for Lia, Rivero couldn’t decide which dojo her character would join. The most logical choice seems to be Cobra Kai since Kenny fights for the same team. On the other hand, if Anthony joins Miyagi-Do in season 5, she might join her friend on that side. Of course, it’s also possible Lia wouldn’t want anything to do with karate.

After the shocking season 4 finale, Cobra Kai might be the only dojo left in town. Kreese’s fighters accumulate the most points during the All-Valley Tournament, which means Cobra Kai takes home the trophy.

Unfortunately, that also means Danny and Johnny must shut down Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang Karate for good, per their agreement with Kreese. But will they follow up on their pledge? Now that Daniel has brought Chozen (Yuji Okumoto) into town, it seems he might have a loophole up his sleeve.

Fans will have to wait for Cobra Kai Season 5 to find out. In the meantime, Cobra Kai Season 4 is now streaming on Netflix.
