Cole Sprouse Sets the Record Straight About His Relationship With Lili Reinhart
Riverdale co-stars Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse are done with speculation and clickbait about their relationship status. The pair began dating back in 2017 and were rumored to have split up in March of 2020. Throughout their relationship, they’ve dealt with tons of rumors, but now both Sprouse and Reinhart are finally setting the record straight.
Back in July of 2019, it was rumored that Reinhart and Sprouse had pulled the plug on their relationship. Many publications cited a “reliable source” as proof that the two actors had gone their separate ways. But, just a few weeks after the news broke, both Riverdale stars revealed that they were still together. Whether they’d reconciled or never broken up to begin with remains unclear. But, regardless, fans of their show were glad to see them together.

In early 2020, split rumors resurfaced especially after some of Reinhart’s family members unfollowed Sprouse on Instagram. When Sprouse was spotted spending time with Kaia Gerber, plenty of people made assumptions that Spouse was cheating on Reinhart amidst a pandemic. Though Sprouse vehemently denied cheating rumors, he still didn’t address his relationship status.
Since the Riverdale stars refused to reveal their relationship status, publications began taking some of their interviews out of context. Recently, Reinhart slammed publications for attributing things she’d said about depression to an alleged breakup with Sprouse. Disgusted with the misinformation, Reinhart took to her Twitter page to combat the rumors.

“Quotes taken from my most recent interview are not about a ‘breakup’,” the 23-year-old wrote. “They are about the depression I’ve felt over these last few months. Tired of people taking my words out of context and piecing together their own story for clickbait. I would never speak so candidly about something as personal as a breakup. That’s incredibly private. I was addressing my depression,” she shared.
Though Reinhart’s tweets did seem to imply that she and Sprouse had called it quits, diehard fans of the couple were still holding out hope that they were together. However, Cole Sprouse recently took to his Instagram page to officially confirm their breakup. Though fans didn’t start speculating about the split until March of 2020, Sprouse revealed that they actually took some time apart in January of 2020.

“Lili and I initially separated in January of this year, deciding to more permanently split in March,” Sprouse wrote about his ex-girlfriend and Riverdale co-star. “What an incredible experience I had, I’ll always feel lucky and cherish that I had the chance to fall in love. I wish her nothing but the utmost love and happiness moving forward. All I’ll say about it, anything else you hear doesn’t matter,” the Disney alum penned.

Despite the breakup, Sprouse and Reinhart still seem to be supportive of one another. In fact, Sprouse even took the opportunity to encourage his fans to support Reinhart in her newest career endeavor. “Also her movie comes out soon! I’m sure she’s just as incredible in it as everything else she does. Thanks guys, ❤️” Sprouse concluded.
It seems that Sprouse and Reinhart have finally set the record straight about where they stand with each other. Hopefully, now the public will stop speculating about them and they can continue going their separate ways in peace.
