In light of the many rumors surrounding their friendship, Jana and Laura have both shut down the rumors that they are romantically involved. Back in 2018, Laura chimed in on Twitter after a fan asked Derick Dillard what was really going on with Jana.
“There are tons of rumors flying. Set the record straight,” the fan told Derick, who responded by writing, “Uh no.”
Viewers did not think Derick’s answer was good enough, which prompted Laura to get involved. After a fan questioned Derick’s reply, Laura wrote, “How about this then: No.”
Last spring, Jana echoed Laura’s comment when one of her followers asked her straight up if they are dating. The Counting On star did not hesitate to address the rumors and left little doubt about her sexual preferences.
“No. And I would like to stop that rumor,” Jana shared. “I have no interest in girls that way whatsoever. “I have ‘courted’ or ‘dated’ a few guys, but so far nothing has gone into a serious relationship. Just continuing to wait and pray for the right guy to come along.”
Although Jana Duggar was pretty clear that her relationship with Laura is not romantic in nature, fans continue to speculate that there is more to their bond than just friendship.
What does Jim Bob think of the rumors?
In addition to dispelling the rumors about Laura, Jana recently addressed why she is still single at 30. According to The Hollywood Gossip, Jana offered a simple explanation and said that she just hasn’t found “Mr. Right” yet.
A former employee of the Duggars, meanwhile, claimed that Jim Bob is not happy that Jana is still single. The source says that Jim Bob, who believes getting married and starting a family is super important, doesn’t appreciate how Jana has rejected all of the suitors he has thrown her way.
The insider went to say that they “feel sorry” for Jana because she is “gay, and she doesn’t know how she’s gonna admit that she’s gay.”
The source did not offer any evidence to back up the claims that Jana is in love with Laura. Whatever is going on behind the scenes, it is clear that the speculation surrounding Jana’s love life is not going to die down anything soon.
