Jana Duggar and her twin, John David Duggar, just celebrated another birthday. The Duggar family’s first set of twins turned 31 on Jan. 12. Jill decided to share a throwback photo of her siblings for the special occasion and seemingly revealed a family secret. Jana was a wild child. Jana Duggar appears to be the family member who is most laid-back
For more than a decade, 19 Kids and Counting and Counting On viewers have assumed Jana and her twin, John David Duggar, were the most laidback members of the Duggar clan. Both appeared to shy away from the camera and never seemed to match their siblings’ energy. Jana, still unwed at 31, appears to enjoy some relaxing hobbies, too. She is into gardening and home décor, for example.
Jana also happens to be the least expressive and the least outspoken when comparing her to Jessa Duggar and Jinger Duggar, the two Duggar girls with the most expressive faces. The unexpected rebel, Jill Duggar, appears to have developed some sass to her personality in the years since she married Derick Dillard, too.
Jill proved that, apparently, that wasn’t always the case
If Jana is easygoing and laidback now, that apparently, wasn’t always the case. In a birthday tribute to her big sister, Jill appeared to let fans in on a little secret. Once upon a time, Jana was the spirited member of the family. The Instagram post featured a picture of Jill, Jana, and John David when they were young. The photo shows Jill, Jana, and John playing on a swing set. While Jill and John appear to be taking it easy, Jana is swinging upside down from a handlebar.
Jill’s caption suggested Jana’s behavior was nothing surprising for the time. She said, “ I laugh a little at this pic because, believe it or not, it displays our personalities at the time pretty well…John and I just chilling and Jana all over the place!” Family critics were quick to pick apart the photo, with some suggesting Jana had her personality zapped out of her through the family’s ties to a controversial ultra-conservative Christian ministry.
