Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo star on the TLC show Counting On. The two recently relocated to Los Angeles, California, where Vuolo is attending graduate school.

Duggar and Vuolo took their time in quarantine and turned it into a new project: Hope We Hold, the couple’s podcast, was released in early June. But not everyone is thrilled with the couple’s new venture.

Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo debuted Hope We Hold nearly two months ago

In the midst of the pandemic, fans had noticed that Duggar and Vuolo’s Instagram content was starting to change. When the two first moved out to LA, they were posting colorful, family-oriented photos that highlighted the good times they were having in their new city. But once the pandemic kicked in, the two began posting high-resolution, staged images rather than the content fans grew to love.

It turns out there was a reason: Duggar and Vuolo were changing up their social media to focus on their newest adventure: a podcast. The two launched Hope We Hold in early June; the podcast features the couple’s daily lives and how they use God and the Bible to make decisions for their family.

Fans have mixed feelings about the couple’s podcast venture

When Duggar and Vuolo launched their podcast, some were thrilled. And still, people have praised Duggar and Vuolo for their work and how helpful the podcast has been. However, not everyone feels the same way. Duggar recently posted a photo of her husband working on the podcast behind the scenes, and fans left mixed reviews in the comments section.

“Who’s paying [your] bills while [you] do [this] nonsense? Poor, exploited churchgoers paying for that house,” one fan accused. “It should be called Jeremy’s platform; he controls the podcast. Always taking over [Jinger],” another person added. “Stop. Just no,” someone wrote. Some were in support of the couple’s discussions. “My husband and I love your podcast,” someone commented. “I am so loving y’all’s [sic] podcasts!” another person added.

It’s unclear how Duggar and Vuolo make money

One fan questioned what the two are doing in California to make money, and the answer remains unclear. It’s known that Duggar is a stay at home mom and that Vuolo is attending school. But the couple’s current occupations (Vuolo is a former professional soccer player and was a pastor prior to enrolling in graduate school) remain a mystery.

Duggar and Vuolo likely receive money for Counting On, plus Duggar has done a few Instagram ads, which certainly pull in some money due to her 1.3 million followers. Still, the couple’s day-to-day jobs since moving to LA have not been disclosed. Fans learned on the show that the two are staying in their home for free after friends of Vuolo’s, who run a local church, offered it to the couple.
