‘Counting On’ Fans Slam Jinger Duggar for Getting a Pedicure
Jinger Duggar stars alongside the rest of her family on TLC’s Counting On. She and her husband, Jeremy Vuolo, announced earlier this year that they’re expecting their second daughter sometime in November. As a pre-baby treat, Duggar’s friend took her for a day out — and fans were not happy.
Jinger Duggar’s baby is due any day
Back in May, Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo announced that they were expecting their second child; the two share their daughter, Felicity, who turned two in July. Duggar and Vuolo waited a while after marriage before starting a family, which is uncommon among the Duggars. And they waited more than a year after Felicity was born to expand their family once more.
In a series of pregnancy posts, Duggar and Vuolo also announced that Duggar had gone through a miscarriage back in November. The couple learned they were expecting, and just after telling their families, Duggar experienced discomfort and learned she had lost the baby.
Since her pregnancy announcement, Duggar has been documenting her habits and other experiences over the past nine months. But a day out on the town had fans quickly calling her out.
A day out for a pedicure had some fans up in arms
Duggar is due November 19, so the baby girl could arrive any day. As a treat for the mom-to-be, a friend took her out for pedicures, and the two spent the day together. Duggar posted photos to Instagram, and she was wearing a mask at the nail salon, but in a separate photo with her friend, the two were not wearing masks.
While some fans were happy to see Duggar out and about, others were quick to judge her. “Frontline workers should not have to become sick or die so your toes can look cute,” one user wrote, adding that Duggar and her friend were “putting each other and your families at risk” by hanging out.
“I wouldn’t be doing ANY mani/pedi during a pandemic…,” someone else commented. “No masks… Everything back to normal in America?” another user wrote. “I’ll never understand pregnant women (with compromised immune systems) that go out during a pandemic as if it was normal life out there,” another person added. Duggar did not respond to any of the comments, and there were a number of fans who were in support of her spending a day with a friend.
Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo have come under fire for masks in the past
It seems that Duggar and Vuolo can’t win with fans when it comes to the pandemic. Duggar recently posted an image of her and her husband wearing masks outdoors during a photoshoot, and they received criticism from those claiming masks are unnecessary while outside. “California sure did change you guys,” someone criticized in the couple’s masked photo.
Duggar didn’t seem to pay any mind to those comments, either. She and Vuolo have been looking forward to welcoming their second child, and for the most part, fans can’t wait to meet their little one. Negative comments are a byproduct of the fame, and Duggar likely knows better than to engage with her critics.
