‘Counting On’ Fans Think This Is Proof The Duggar Girls Are Feuding
The Duggars put up a united front for Counting On, but many of their fans are convinced that a feud is brewing behind the scenes. Over the past few weeks, a new fan theory has emerged about how the Duggar girls are not as close as they seem on the show – and it is all based on their competitive activity on social media.
Are the Duggar girls feuding?
It is not a big secret that reality TV is not really based on real life. Most shows that fall under the reality TV umbrella take liberties throughout a given season. Social media has only increased the awareness of these discrepancies and sometimes fans catch reality stars in outright fibs. Counting On fans are no different, and some believe they have evidence to prove that the Duggar women are more at odds with each other than the series leads us to believe.
A new Counting On fan theory points out that the Duggars are very competitive with each other when it comes to sharing things on social media. If one of the Duggar women posts a photo, then it is only a matter of hours before one of their siblings shares an image of their own. What often happens next is a domino effect, where anyone who was left out of the mix immediately posts a snapshot.
This, of course, does not happen every time, but it has happened often enough that fans have taken notice. While this does not necessarily mean that the Duggars are at each other’s throats, there is other evidence to back up the theory.
Inside the Duggar family’s odd rules
The Duggars are no strangers to odd behavior, but one of their biggest controversies is how they look after their children. According to The Hollywood Gossip, Counting On fans have long believed that the Duggar daughters do more to raise their siblings than their mother, Michelle Duggar.
To back up these claims, they raise awareness of several incidents that have happened on the show, including the time when Jason Duggar went missing inside Newark airport. When the family finally found Jason, he ran to one of his siblings instead of Michelle.
It is also a well-known fact that Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar assign all of their children to an older sibling in what has been dubbed a buddy system. The older child takes care of the younger one until they are old enough to fend for themselves.
While a system like this is probably needed in a house that has 19 children, it also deprives a lot of the Duggar children from a normal childhood. This could also explain why Jason ran to his older sibling instead of his mom in his time of need.
The Duggars put on a united front
Despite all of the feud speculation from Counting On fans, the Duggars have always maintained a united front in public. This past Mother’s Day, for example, several of the Duggar daughters took to social media to express their appreciation for Michelle and all the things she has done for them over the years. This includes Jill Duggar, who was rumored to be fighting with her parents over her husband, Derick Dillard.
As Counting On fans are well aware, Dillard has been involved in several controversies on social media and was fired from the show over comments he made about the LGBTQ community.
“So grateful for my mom this Mother’s Day! She demonstrates what a selfless, joyful, patient mother should look like as she raised and continues to raise all 19 of us!” Jill shared.
Following Jill’s post, several fans went online and blasted the family for trying to cover up the feud. The backlash happened after inside sources claimed that Dillard was at odds with Jim Bob and Michelle, who allegedly told him to keep quiet about his conservative views.
The situation did not improve after the Duggars failed to help Jill and Dillard move out of their old house. The family, of course, has not commented on the situation and will likely remain silent to avoid any further scandals.
TLC has not revealed when the new season of Counting On will premiere, though the show is expected to return later this year.
