The two announced back in May that they’re expecting another daughter in November, and the couple recently celebrated with one last maternity shoot before becoming a family of four. However, fans criticized Duggar’s most recent maternity photo, trolling the reality star for one interesting detail.

Duggar and Vuolo found joy amid the devastating pandemic when they announced to fans back in May that they’re expecting another child in November. Duggar revealed that she had learned she was pregnant last November, but only one day after telling her family the good news, she woke up to discover she’d had a miscarriage.
Fans had suspected last fall that Duggar might be pregnant, but when she never announced, it was assumed their hunches were wrong. People had been waiting for Duggar to announce another pregnancy, since it’s been more than two years since the couple welcomed their first daughter, Felicity. But the two waited more than a year after marriage to announce their first pregnancy, so it wasn’t much of a surprise that they didn’t have kids so close in age.
Duggar’s fans trolled her for wearing a mask in her recent family photo
Duggar has been documenting her pregnancy on social media, and fans have been following along. Some have said she’s “glowing” as she prepares for baby no. 2. Duggar recently posted photos from a shoot she did with Vuolo and their daughter, Felicity, and while many loved the images, fans couldn’t help but troll the family for wearing a mask outdoors in one of Duggar’s posts.
“Outside with masks on,” one user commented with a face-palm emoji. “Why are you wearing masks outside??” someone else wrote with an eye-roll emoji. “What’s with the masks OUTSIDE,” someone asked, with a laughing emoji. “California sure did change you guys,” someone else added, with more “eye roll” emojis. Others asked if California requires masks outdoors, but the negative tone of fans’ comments was easy to pick up in the text.
Other fans stood up for Duggar, telling people to mind their business
Though people trolled the family for their decision, some fans thought they were simply being mindful of the photographer’s space and others who might be around. “It’s sad that people are judging them for having masks on,” someone wrote. “Clearly someone is taking the photo. Be respectful of people, masks slow the spread,” another user added.
“It’s a shame this beautiful family cannot post a picture of their walk through a lovely garden museum without all of the unkind hateful comments and bickering amongst each other,” someone commented, condemning the negativity on the couple’s post.
Each state has different laws, and it appears that most in California are wearing masks outdoors. On Duggar’s Instagram story, people in the background could also be seen wearing masks at the garden. It’s possible that location is privately owned and requires masks on the property, or that Duggar and Vuolo simply want to do their part to slow the spread.
