‘Counting On’: Jinger Duggar Reveals She Has ‘Long Days and Sleepless Nights’ As a Mother
Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo have been tackling parenting without the help of their families — the two live in California, far from Duggar’s family in Arkansas and Vuolo’s parents on the East Coast. Though the two seem to love every minute they get to spend with Felicity, Duggar revealed that being a mother is definitely no easy task.
Duggar and Vuolo recently relocated to California
Last July, Duggar and Vuolo picked up their lives in Laredo, Texas, and set out for something brand new: A life in Los Angeles, California. Vuolo had received an opportunity to take graduate classes out in L.A., and the two didn’t want to pass up the chance to see the West Coast. Since then, they seem to have loved exploring their new home.
Duggar and Vuolo often post photos trying new restaurants, sightseeing, or attending fun events. They’ve spent a day at the aquarium and have taken Felicity to theme parks and on other exciting adventures. The two enjoy taking hikes together and spending time as a family of three.
Duggar and Vuolo are always doting on Felicity
Felicity is the light of this couple’s life. It’s common among the Duggars to start having kids right after marriage, and many Duggars get pregnant within a few months of their wedding. However, Duggar and Vuolo decided to wait a while before starting a family, and they didn’t welcome their daughter until about a year and a half after they wed.
Unlike many Duggar couples, Felicity is Vuolo and Duggar’s only child. Though other family members might have had two or three kids by now (the two have been married for more than three years), these two have been taking it slow and enjoying one-on-one time with their little girl.

Though Duggar clearly loves her daughter, she recently revealed to fans that it hasn’t always been easy. Duggar posted a photo of Felicity to Instagram, and she got candid for a moment about the challenges parenthood presents. “… The days haven’t been free of challenges that come along with parenting — long days and sleepless nights,” Duggar posted to Instagram. But she also clarified that Felicity brings immense joy to her life. “It has been nothing but a joy and a priceless gift from God to raise this precious little angel.”
Duggar cares for Felicity while Vuolo takes his graduate classes, so she is the one dealing with most of her daughter’s antics throughout the day. But it seems that most parents would agree the positives far outweigh any negatives when it comes to having kids.
Fans think the two are expecting their second child
Some Counting On fans theorize that Duggar and Vuolo are preparing to make a pregnancy announcement. Duggar has been hiding her stomach in photos recently after fans thought they saw the beginnings of a baby bump in her Thanksgiving post. The two haven’t had a baby in quite a while, and Duggar did hint that they could have more kids while they’re out in California. Time will tell if fans’ predictions are correct.
