‘Counting On’ Fans Think Joy Duggar Looks Just Like Jessa in Recent Photo

Counting On star Joy Duggar is several years younger than her older sisters, but she’s always been very close with them. Joy and her sister, Jessa, were married three years apart, and now they’re both mothers of young children. Joy just showed off a photo of her pregnancy, and fans were shocked at how much she and Jessa now look alike.

Joy Duggar is essentially the middle child of the Duggar daughters

Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar have 19 children, but the kids have an interesting pattern. There are four daughters (Jana, Jill, Jessa, and Jinger) within five years of each other, then another four daughters (Johannah, Jennifer, Jordyn, and Josie) all within four years of each other. Then, there’s Joy — she’s four years younger than her older sisters, but eight years older than her younger sisters.

Joy is essentially the middle child in between both groups of daughters. Still, she married and had kids very young, so she’s always been considered one of the older kids despite the age gap.

Joy and her older sisters have grown closer through the years

Joy and her husband, Austin Forsyth, wed back in 2017 when she was only 19. She was married at a very young age, and the two started a family right away. Nine months after their wedding, they welcomed their first child.

Joy is essentially at the same point in life as her older sisters, which has helped her grow closer with them through the years. The sisters all had a pregnancy photoshoot last year, because they were nearly all expecting at the same time (Joy tragically lost the baby at 20 weeks). Whenever the older sisters get together, Joy is always included.

Fans can’t believe how much Joy looks like Jessa in a recent photo

Back in March, Joy and Austin announced another pregnancy — the two are expecting a baby girl in August. And Joy has been documenting her pregnancy journey on Instagram while also showing off the quality time she’s spending with her son, Gideon, before he has a sibling. Joy recently posted a photo showing off her 30-week bump, and fans couldn’t believe how much she looked like Jessa in the photo.

“You look so much like Jessa in this pic!” one fan commented. “I thought it was [Jessa] for a second!” another fan replied. “I thought the same thing,” someone else added; there were similar comments all throughout Joy’s post. In the photo, Joy’s hair definitely resembles her older sister’s, and the two are starting to look more and more alike.

When Joy and Austin were first married, some fans had concerns that their marriage was arranged. Over time, though, people realized that the two actually have a lot in common and seem to get along very well. They go hiking and fishing together, and bond over their love for remodeling homes. Fans have even suggested that Austin is the “sweetest” Duggar dad, and they’re excited to see Joy welcome a little girl.
