A rainbow baby is the term given to a baby born after a miscarriage the rainbow after the storm. The couple announced their little one with a pregnancy shoot that featured a balloon in the background to symbolize their first pregnancy. The two were elated, and though they were still learning to accept that they had lost their first child, they instantly became thrilled to be parents to another baby.
They named their daughter Bella because it means ‘beautiful miracle’
On November 8, Swanson and Duggar welcomed a little girl into the world. They chose to name her Bella for its meaning — beautiful miracle. Bella has been their rainbow after the storm, and Swanson seems to choose names based on their meaning. She and Duggar decided to name their miscarried baby Asa, which is of Hebrew origin and meals “healer.” It was fitting, since the two were working to heal from their loss.
Swanson and Duggar weren’t the only couple to welcome a new baby this month. Kendra and Joe Duggar had their little girl on November 4, and Anna Duggar is due any day.
The two will likely have a large family
Duggar and Swanson wasted no time starting a family. Swanson wed at such a young age and had her first baby by the time she was 20. She has many years ahead of fertility, and the Duggars tend to have one child after the next. Kendra Duggar is only 21 and has already welcomed her second child, and Jessa Duggar had three kids in five years. It’s only a matter of time until Swanson and Duggar announce baby no. 2. For now, though, they’re relishing in the ability to become parents and are doting on their little baby.
