The Duggars are an extremely tight-knit family — and fans know they also adore children. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar have 19 kids of their own, and they’re well on their way to having many more grandchildren. On Counting On, fans recently saw Lauren and Josiah Duggar bringing their baby girl to a family event. And it’s certainly not the first time we’ve seen tiny babies in the crowded Duggar home. Here’s what we noticed.

Lauren and Josiah Duggar brought their baby to the Duggar family gingerbread competition

Josiah and Lauren Duggar were over the moon to have their baby, Bella, in November 2019. And the couple felt particularly blessed since Bella’s a rainbow baby following Lauren’s miscarriage.

“Losing a little life at any stage is heartbreaking and devastating and should not go unnoticed,” Lauren captioned an Instagram post in October 2019. “For all you mamas, yes, even you mamas whose arms have never had the chance to hold your babies-you’re a Mama! Remember, that you are loved.”

Lauren and Josiah will always be affected by the loss of their first baby. But fans are now seeing the birth of Bella on Counting On — and they’re seeing just how happy Josiah and Lauren are to welcome their daughter. The couple’s so excited, in fact, that they brought Bella to the Duggar family gingerbread competition — though Lauren notes her daughter is still “itty bitty.”

“So Bella’s still itty bitty,” Lauren told the camera. And the show includes footage of Bella close to Lauren as the chaos of the gingerbread competition swirls around them.

“She’s only a couple weeks old,” Josiah noted.

“I still keep her close,” Lauren added. “So she is mommy’s buddy.”

Josh Duggar’s wife, Anna, brought her newborn to a party 5 days after giving birth

Lauren and Josiah certainly aren’t the first to bring a baby to the loud and boisterous family gatherings. Josh Duggar’s wife, Anna, also gave birth at the end of 2019 to their sixth child. And she told her Instagram followers that she brought baby Maryella to the Duggar family ugly sweater party just days after giving birth.

“Little Maryella Hope made her debut (at 5 days old) for her first #familynight with the big family … and she seemed to enjoy it so much!” Anna captioned her post showing her, Josh, the baby, and a few other Duggars smiling at the party. “Our kiddos had a blast getting dressed up and spending time together with everyone while enjoying good fellowship, food and fun!”

While Anna wrote the post like she was having fun, fans think she looked majorly tired.

“Oh god, Anna looks exhausted,” one Reddit user wrote. “She gave birth, what, five minutes before this picture was taken? And she was expected to go straight over to her in-laws mansion and keep sweet instead of resting.”

Will Joy-Anna bring her baby to a Duggar gathering next?

Joy-Anna is the next Duggar daughter to get ready to give birth. While she’s no longer on Counting On, she’s keeping her fans apprised via Instagram and YouTube regarding her current pregnancy. Joy-Anna told her fans that she’s planning on having a hospital birth, too, and it’s already setting herself apart from her sisters who typically prefer home births.

On Aug. 12, Joy-Anna hinted that her baby is due at any moment. “Yes … we’re still waiting for this baby girl‘s arrival!” she captioned her Instagram post showing her with Gideon. “Meanwhile, enjoying all of the extra snuggles from Gid!”

So, will Joy-Anna bring her baby girl to the next family gathering? We imagine so — but fans shouldn’t expect to see the new baby on Counting On. Austin Forsyth and Joy-Anna will assuredly post their own photos and videos once the baby arrives, though. We’ll keep a close eye on their YouTube content to see when all of the other Duggars get to meet the newborn girl.
