‘Counting On’ Viewers Think Jeremy Vuolo’s Personality is ‘Fake’ And He Tries to Be ‘Too Perfect’
Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo were once favorites on Counting On. But over the past year, the dynamic has shifted, according to viewers. Vuolo was once looked at as Duggar’s saving grace, but more viewers are starting to see a different side of the pastor — and they don’t like it.
Fans used to love Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo’s dynamic
When Duggar and Vuolo started courting, fans felt like Vuolo was a breath of fresh air. He and Duggar met unconventionally through Jessa and Ben Seewald. Most Duggars meet their spouses through either family, friends, or homeschooling conventions, so when Duggar and Vuolo defied the odds, people were rooting for them.
Duggar and Vuolo moved to Texas shortly after they wed, and they began enjoying things such as sporting events, food trucks, and other mainstream activities. People loved their dynamic and felt that, while remaining close to God, Duggar was getting a chance to break free from her family.
Viewers have started to criticize Vuolo’s personality
The two have been married for nearly four years, and while they still have plenty of fans, some people have grown wary of Vuolo’s personality. In a now-deleted video, he and Duggar did a Q&A where he appeared a bit controlling over his wife. And since the two moved out to California, they’ve been posting overly-staged photos with mushy captions that fans have started to find fake.
Critics of the show often take to Reddit to discuss Duggar and Vuolo’s relationship, and fans are convinced Vuolo’s “fake” personality is showing through. “He’s not sincere,” one user wrote. “The image he presents himself as is something you’d find in a movie or show about a place where everything seems to be too perfect,” someone else added. “He comes off like such a con artist,” another person wrote. Someone else suggested his “fake voice” and “fake enthusiasm” only added to their uncertainty about him.
Some think Vuolo is trying too hard to mold his wife
When Duggar and Vuolo first wed, Duggar appeared to be coming into her own. But now, some critics think Vuolo has actually been trying to mold his wife into who he wants her to be, rather than allowing her to find her independence. When Duggar dyed her hair blonde, fans were excited, but after Vuolo said he liked the “new Jinger” better than the old one, people realized that she might have only been changing her looks to please him.
Plus, Duggar seems to always post loving photos of her husband on social media with captions doting on him. And it’s gotten to the point where people are concerned that she’s using the photos as a cover up how she actually feels. It’s only fan speculation, though, and nobody can confirm that Duggar and Vuolo aren’t happy.
