Megan Fox was treated with a significant amount of disrespect while filming the Transformers movies. Not only did director Michael Bay portray Fox as a sex object, but crew members also played a significant role in degrading the actor.

In an angry letter posted by anonymous crew members to Michael Bay’s website, they attempted to defame the celebrity with multiple claims. The sexist letter referred to Fox as “graceless,” “classless,” and an “unfriendly b*tch.”

Michael Bay has been called out for his portrayal of women in his movies

Several actors have called out the director for the portrayal of women in his films. Celebrities, including Kate Beckinsale and Chris Odowd, have commented on the blatant sexism in his movies, where his actresses are objectified to “stand there and look pretty.”

But one of the most famous instances of Bay being called out was by Fox herself. The Transformers actor told Wonderland Magazine that when she asked for acting advice, he’d just tell her to “be hot.”

She said,

“Those are literally his directions some times. ‘Be Hot.’ I’ve had that note on set before. ‘Mike,’ I’ll say, ‘Who am I talking to? Where am I supposed to be looking at?’ And he responds, ‘Just be sexy.’ I get mad when people talk to me like that.

Anonymous crew members of ‘Transformers’ said awful things about Megan Fox

Three anonymous crew members from Transformers wrote an open letter degrading Fox. They posted the statement on Bay’s website, which can be found on Deadline. The letter said that Fox should become a “porn star,” and that she is “dumb-as-a-rock.”

“When facing the press, Megan is the queen of talking trailer trash and posing like a porn star,” the letter said. “And yes, we’ve had the unbearable time of watching her try to act on set, and yes, it’s very cringe-able. So maybe, being a porn star in the future might be a good career option. But make-up beware, she has a paragraph tattooed to her backside (probably due to her rotten childhood)—easily another 45 minutes in the chair!”

The letter continued, stating,

“So this is the Megan Fox you don’t get to see. Maybe she will learn, but we figure if she can sling insults, then she can take them too. Megan really is a thankless, classless, graceless, and shall we say, unfriendly b*tch. It’s sad how fame can twist people, and even sadder that young girls look up to her. If only they knew who they’re really looking up to.”

Some people speculate that Michael Bay wrote the letter himself

An article by Vulture suspects that Bay is the one who wrote the letter, rather than three anonymous crew members. Why? Because much of the language and terminology used in the letter is straight out of Bay’s vocabulary.

And even if he didn’t write the letter, it stayed up on his official website for 24 hours without a peep from the director.

Later, Bay responded to the letter.

According to Deadline, he stated on his website, “I don’t condone the crew letter to Megan. And I don’t condone Megan’s outlandish quotes. But her crazy quips are part of her crazy charm. The fact of the matter I still love working with her, and I know we still get along. I even expect more crazy quotes from her on Transformers 3.”
