‘Criminal Minds’: A.J. Cook Talks About JJ’s Defining Moments Over the Years
Jennifer “JJ” Jareau is a critical member of the Behavioral Analysis Unit on Criminal Minds. The series may be coming to an end, but it seems like the perfect time to take a look back at JJ’s most defining moments over the years according to the actress who plays her.
A.J. Cook talks about some of JJ’s important moments
The official Twitter account for Criminal Minds recently posted a video of A.J. Cook, who plays JJ, talking about her character’s journey over the years. “We’ve watched JJ graduate from unit liaison to a skilled profiler and BAU mainstay during @ajcookofficial’s tenure on #CriminalMinds. Sit down with the star as she takes us through the formative journey,” the post is captioned.
JJ left the BAU
“Some of the most pivotal moments for JJ came with big life changes,” A.J. Cook says about JJ. “The first would be when she left the BAU. And for me, she went away still a young woman. And through those experiences that she had when she went away, she came back a grown woman and this really fierce mama bear.”
The birth of JJ’s two children
“So in a way, I feel like I’ve been able to play more than one character on the show,” Cook revealed. “The birth of her two sons has been huge. She’s always been very nurturing and very protective. Once she had those kids, she’s just, it’s another level for her.”
Fans really seem to love JJ
People really adore JJ for the person she is. Numerous fans took to the comments to explain how they feel about one of their favorite members of the BAU. “Love her so much😭💯,” a Twitter user wrote.
