Netflix is losing one of its most popular shows. Criminal Minds is leaving the streaming service in June 2022. Fortunately, you’ll still be able to watch the police procedural elsewhere.

‘Criminal Minds’ is leaving Netflix in June 2022

Criminal Minds ran for 15 seasons on CBS, from 2005 to 2020. Currently, the first 12 seasons are streaming on Netflix. But those episodes will be leaving the streamer on June 29.

It’s been some time since Netflix added new episodes of the show about a team of FBI profilers hunting down serial killers and other evildoers. But that hasn’t kept it from being one of the most-watched series on the platform. Subscribers streamed 511 million minutes of Criminal Minds from April 25-May 1, according to data from Nielsen (via The Hollywood Reporter). That made it the fifth-most-popular acquired series on Netflix, after Cocomelon, NCIS, Heartland, and Better Call Saul. Criminal Minds was also the most-streamed show of 2021, per Nielsen’s ratings.

Where else to stream the show

Though Criminal Minds will soon disappear from Netflix, fans will still be able to watch the show on other streaming services.

All 15 seasons of Criminal Minds are streaming on Paramount+. Seasons 13-15 are also available on Hulu. Episodes are also available for purchase on Amazon and Apple TV.

What’s the status of the ‘Criminal Minds’ revival?

Criminal Minds came to an end in early 2020. But a year after the finale aired, Paramount+ revealed that a revival was in the works. The new series will see original cast members investigating a single case over the course of 10 episodes.

Later that year, rumors surfaced that the revival wasn’t moving forward. But in February 2022, an executive for the streaming service confirmed the show was still in the works.

“We are still very much in development on Criminal Minds. We’ll have more to share on that soon but it is alive and well,” Nicole Clemens, president, Paramount+ original scripted series, told Deadline.

Mantegna played Senior Agent David Rossi, Vangsness played Penelope Garcia, Rodriguez played Agent Luke Alvez, Cook played Agent JJ Jareau, Tyler played Agent Tara Lewis, and Brewster played Agent Emily Prentiss.

One actor who won’t be back is Matthew Gray Gubler, who played Agent Spencer Reid on all 15 seasons of the show. According to Deadline, Gubler wanted to move on to other projects.
