Attack on Titan is in the midst of its final season, and excitement about the series seems to be at an all-time high. Parrot Analytics recently identified it as the most in-demand TV series of 2021. With that kind of enthusiasm from viewers, it’s no surprise it took home the biggest honor at Crunchyroll’s 2022 Anime Awards.

Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 1 kicks off after a four-year time jump, throwing fans into the perspectives of the Eldians residing in Marley. It features an epic battle between Paradis Island and Marley, as well as several major twists. Those elements likely factored into its success at the Anime Awards. And the series could see another big win in the future.

With Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 2 airing during winter 2022, it’s possible it could win Anime of the Year during next year’s event as well. Of course, Crunchyroll’s 2022 list of winners highlighted several other popular series currently underway — so, it will have some hefty competition.
