D.L. Hughley Says Kanye West’s ‘Stalking’ of Kim Kardashian is Not Funny and Unacceptable
Kim Kardashian may be legally single from Kanye West, now known as Ye, but according to comedian D.L. Hugley, it may not stop West from trying to get her back. Over the past year, West has gone to extreme lengths to try and stop the divorce to no avail. Once Kardashian went public with Pete Davidson, West’s antics grew worse. Hughley says West’s behavior is dangerous.
D.L. Hughley says Kanye West is stalking Kim Kardashian
West has been doing any and everything to get Kardashian’s attention since she first filed for divorce in Feb. 2021. He’s made it clear on several occasions that he didn’t want their marriage to end. West has spoken about it in interviews, posted social media messages, and publicly pleased for Kardashian to take him back. But Huhgley says he’s taken things too far as of late with his increase in vying for Kardashian’s affection.
“I think that I’ve watched too many times when things like that happened and a woman or somebody is not believed. And then things escalate,” Hughley said in a recent interview with Vlad TV. “He is stalking her. You can think it’s cute. If it was my daughter, I’d do something about it. I don’t think it’s funny. I think that you can’t write a beat so good that you get to do these things. And society laughs it off because they say, ‘Well, she’s showing her a– all the time and he’s this and he’s that.’”
He also notes that West’s actions have an adverse affect on what he’s intending to do. West has been upset by Kardashian moving on to Pete Davidson, despite him dating several women publicly since their split. Hughley says West is pushing Kardashian further away.
“[The] difference between him [West] and a restraining order is about 20 hits and a couple of hundred million dollars,” adding West’s threats of Davidson and him “threatening the dude that’s f—–g your woman, all he gonna do is f— her harder.”
Kim Kardashian says her ex’s behavior has caused her emotional distress
Initially, kardashian did not respond to West’s behavior. But after months of his social media tirades and airing out their reported family drama, she’d had enough. She put out one statement in an Instagram story that explained she simply wanted to co-parent peacefully and West’s actions were causing further damage to their four children. But when that didn’t work, she pleaded with a judge to intervene.
“Since filing for divorce, Mr. West, by his actions, has made it clear that he does not accept that the parties’ marital relationship is over,” The Root reports her statement to the judge read in part. “Mr. West has disseminated on social media the parties’ private communications and misinformation about personal family matters and co-parenting, which has caused emotional distress. Terminating marital status should help Mr. West to accept that the parties’ marital relationship is over and to move forward on a better path which will assist in peacefully co-parenting the parties’ children.”
As a result, she asked the judge to declare her legally single. In her eyes, it would allow for her and their family to be able to begin the real process of moving on. Furthermore, she says she’d been emotionally scared by West’s actions.
“I very much desire to be divorced. I have asked Kanye to keep our divorce private, but he has not done so,” Kardashian said in the legal paperwork. “Kanye has been putting a lot of misinformation regarding our private family matters and co-parenting on social media which has created emotional distress. I believe that the court terminating our marital status will help Kanye to accept that our marital relationship is over and to move forward on a better path which will assist us in peacefully co-parenting our children.”
How the reality star reportedly feels now that she’s been declared legally single
A judge heard Kardashian’s cries and granted her judgment. She’s now no longer Mrs. West and reportedly couldn’t be happier to begin to put the ordeal behind her.
“Kim is feeling a huge sense of relief now that she has been declared legally single,” an insider told E! News. “She is very happy and feels she is one step closer to reclaiming her independence and being able to move on in her life.”
The source added of the SKIMS founder, “She hopes the rest of the divorce process will be amicable and her and Kanye will be able to get through it peacefully,” and that she only “only wishes the best” for her ex.
