Da Brat Confirms K. Michelle’s Story About Tamar Braxton Being Confronted By a Music Executive’s Wife Over Their Alleged Affair
After K. Michelle accused Tamar Braxton of having an affair with a married music executive, people are digging for more information. Braxton has chosen to not participate in the drama with her longtime nemesis but Da Brat has come forward and corroborated part of K. Michelle’s story.

Braxton and K. Michelle’s feud began while K. Michelle was a cast member of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta. K. Michelle was open about her experience as a survivor of domestic abuse, which Braxton hinted that she did not believe as she was a friend of K. Michelle’s alleged abuser. The two traded jabs on social media and via interviews for years before calling a truce and performing together on the 2015 BET Awards.
But Braxton’s recent appearance on TS Madison’s The Queens Supreme Court left K. Michelle pissed. Madison questioned whether Braxton would participate in a Verzus battle with K. Michelle and instead of responding verbally, Braxton smiled and remained quiet, leaving K. Michelle feeling dissed.

She responded with a rant about Braxton on Instagram live and making the accusation that Braxton had an affair with Jermaine Dupri’s father, music executive Michael Mauldin.

Da Brat corroborates parts of K. Michelle’s story
Braxton has chosen to take the high road in her response to K. Michelle, explaining on her YouTube show Couples In Quarantine that she chooses to only engage in positive situations moving forward to shed herself of the image she’s been associated with previously.
Being professional, not having this stereotype of “the angry black woman” and not having the stereotype that comes along with being on reality TV – which is always being negative, always being problematic, always being messy or whatever. It’s almost like the work you do is covered by that.

While Braxton stays quiet, Da Brat gave her take on the alleged elevator fight that K. Michelle spoke of, claiming that she was present during the altercation.
As Gary With The Tea read the rumor report on The Rickey Smiley Morning Show, Brat chimed in to clarify that it was not actually Dupri’s mother, but his stepmother who confronted Braxton. Mauldin is no longer married to the woman.
Brat says the incident happened years ago at a major event in the music industry. But Brat refused to dive into details, speaking vaguely about what happened but confirming that something did take place.
“It was just a situation and Michael Mauldin’s ex-wife was a little fed up and it just went down in the elevator…it was a few more people in the elevator [than with the Beyoncé and Jay-Z elevator fight]. When the elevator opened, I exited stage left….thank God it went down when the elevator was about to open so that I could get out,” Brat said.

As more information is being spilled about Braxton’s alleged indiscretions, fans are researching to see if there have been any old reports on the elevator fight in question. As it turns out, blogger Love B. Scott reported in 2016 that Braxton and her then-husband. Vincent Herbert, were headed for divorce after Herbert discovered Braxton was having an affair.
According to the report, Herbert hired a private investigator and found out that Braxton was getting cozy with another record executive, whom B. Scott did not name. Herbert allegedly confronted Braxton in front of two other people and things became so heated that they paid the other couple to stay quiet.
A source told B. Scott at the time, “He doesn’t know who Tamar is anymore. He says she’s not the same woman he married eight years ago. She’s too busy going on vacations to worry about the drama at home. He has the baby and that’s the only thing he’s concerned about.”
Braxton would file for divorce the following year and the final season of their WeTV reality series Tamar & Vince documented their intense arguments over separating their personal and professional lives.
