DaBaby Shows Love to MeMe, the Mother of His Daughter, on Social Media
In the past few weeks, it seems as talk has cooled off surrounding rapper DaBaby and singer DaniLeigh‘s alleged romance. The Charlotte native actually took to social media recently to honor an old flame, Mariah (aka MeMe), the mother of his daughter.
MeMe is most known for feuding with DaniLeigh on social media
DaBaby and DaniLeigh were rumored to be dating for a while earlier this year. They were connected after DaniLeigh co-choreographed the video for “Bop” and DaBaby was featured on DaniLeigh’s “Levi High.”
Rumors that the two were dating continued to gain traction, especially after MeMe and DaniLeigh got into it over social media.
“Sis got me blocked, but word keeps getting back to me .. so hopefully the energy is the same in real life,” tweeted Meme back in March. Many messages, many of which were subliminal nature, were exchanged between the two across multiple social media platforms, including DaniLeigh telling MeMe to “go get a job.”
DaniLeigh remained coy about her relationship with DaBaby for a while until telling Power 105.1 in May, “I mean it is what it is. I know it comes with this life. I already know you post something, people just gon’ catch on I guess, so. I don’t know, it is what it is. I don’t really care.” By July, the two had reportedly broken up, despite the fact that neither said anything publicly about anything being official.
DaBaby shouts out MeMe on Twitter
On social media recently, not too long after seemingly confirming he and DaniLeigh were in a relationship via a new song, DaBaby sent out a rapper put out some posts about MeMe.
In a tweet, Dababy wrote, “Some people show their love by being crazy as h**l, I’m talkin crazy crazy. My daughter’s mother Mariah, is one of those people. 🤦🏾♂️ I love you too .🖤 ..crazy MF Now stfu texting me, I’m in a meeting.”
He also addressed her in a second tweet, saying, “And tell my baby I’m taking that iPad back if she keep missing my FaceTime calls.”
On Instagram, fans had a mixed reaction to DaBaby’s tweets, with some bringing up how it is hard to have a relationship with someone who has a child. Others referenced his romance with DaniLeigh, which a lot of fans believed failed due to DaBaby’s relationship with MeMe.
“This why I can’t talk to nobody w a baby mama cause it don’t sit right,” said one fan. Another person said, “I know toxic baby daddy behavior when I see it.”
A lot of fans also didn’t understand why DaBaby would send out tweets about MeMe texting him when he easily could have texted her back. One person said, “You had time to put all that on twitter while you was “in a meeting” but didn’t have time to just hit her back🙄.”
Someone else questioned, “Why did he tweet this out instead of calling her??”
