DaBaby already wrapped up in civil case with Miami promoter

In January 2020, DaBaby was arrested for the alleged assault of a Miami club promoter. In that incident, some members of his entourage were seen in a video robbing and hitting a man, taking a phone, cash, and credit card.

By March 2020, the assault charges were eventually dismissed as one of the victims refused to cooperate with authorities. However, police said they would continue to investigate the robbery claims.

The promoter Kenneth Carey — who was also named as a victim — proceeded to move forward with a civil lawsuit for $6 million. He is reportedly suing for battery, defamation, emotional distress, and breach of contract.

DaBaby denied any wrongdoing and accused the promoter of shorting him on his payment.

Following this event, the “Cry Baby” rapper found himself embroiled in another controversy with a fan at a Florida concert. He hit a woman while walking to the stage after she put a phone close to his face.

DaBaby later issued an apology on social media for striking the woman and requested to meet her in person to say “sorry.” Although the police came to the Tampa event to investigate, no arrests were made. However, the woman also filed a civil lawsuit over the assault.

DaBaby is facing new lawsuit over alleged assault of property owner

According to Variety, DaBaby was just slapped with another civil suit by California property owner, Gary Pagar. Pagar claims the rapper violated the terms of his rental home lease by exceeding the amount of people allowed on site due to COVID-19 restrictions.

DaBaby was allegedly told he could only have 12 people on the premises, but instead, he brought 40 people in to shoot a music video.

Per the report, Pagar arrived at the house to shut down filming and to inform DaBaby he was violating his contract. He was then knocked down and when he fled into the house, DaBaby chased him and threatened him about calling the police.

After telling the 64-year-old not to contact law enforcement, DaBaby allegedly punched the man in the face, knocking his tooth out. Pagar asserts that someone spat on him too.

The rapper is accused of stealing Pagar’s phone and some kitchen items, as well as causing property damage. Jake Paul was also present as one of DaBaby’s guests, and Pagar cited the fact that the home was not supposed to be used for commercial reasons.
