Daisy Kelliher From ‘Below Deck’ Dishes Kiss With Gary King – ‘I Didn’t Believe It’ (and No They Are Definitely Not Dating)

Daisy Kelliher from Below Deck Sailing Yacht chuckled about Gary King’s proclamation on Instagram that they are dating.

Fans wondered if King and Kelliher were dating after the trailer dropped teasing their kiss and then they posted a photo of them together at Disneyland. She laughed and said King was just having some fun with fans but they are definitely not a couple.

And while they had a pretty steamy make-out session in the hot tub, that scene came as almost as big of a surprise to her as it did to fans.

Daisy thought she had a ‘playful’ kiss with Gary King

Kelliher said she drank more this season because her stress level was pushed higher. But she also joked that the alcohol combined with pure exhaustion prompted the kiss that had many fans’ jaws on the ground – including her’s. “I still don’t remember it, but I was being a lot more affectionate this season,” Kelliher said about the kiss on the Dear Reality, You’re Effed podcast.

“So sometimes I can get kind of affectionate,” she continued. “So in my mind, when it got told back to me, I didn’t believe it. I thought it was just a playful thing. Me and Gary have that relationship where we’re very affectionate with each other.” But when she saw it, her reaction was: “I’m gonna be sick.”

She added, “I was very tired … [laughs].”

She said she drank more this ‘Below Deck Sailing Yacht’ season

“I don’t know, I don’t think either of us understood where that kiss came from,” she said. “Because we really are just friends. I mean we obviously got caught up in the moment. It looked like a fun kiss.”

“I think I did drink quite heavily this season because I was quite stressed,” she said. “And I’m very lucky because I’m a very positive drunk. I’m probably one of the most positive drunk people I know. I rarely do anything bad. That’s about as bad as it gets, me making out with Gary. So that’s fine. But I was quite stressed and overwhelmed at times and very, very tired. So I was dying for a glass of wine, because that’s what we reach for, to relax. And I was drinking quite heavily, but [I wasn’t] in a negative place.”

Kelliher added that she loved the season and had a lot of fun. “But saying that I did drink quite heavily, more heavily this season than I did last season because I was a little bit more stressed because of certain things that happened,” she teased.

Would she have kissed Gary when she was sober?

She also dealt with massive sleep deprivation on Below Deck Sailing Yacht this season. “So yeah, I didn’t remember the kiss,” Kelliher said. “I think Gary’s a bit upset I didn’t remember the kiss [laughs]. But it’s just the case. I would have done it sober, it was fun. And we weren’t hurting anyone.”

Host Hannah Ferrier had to ask, “You would have done it sober?”

“Maybe not,” she laughed. “But the main thing is there isn’t a huge amount of regret behind it.” Plus, “Now that time has passed, it was just a bit of fun.”

Kelliher also teased during an Instagram Live that she and King clash this season over coffee. In fact, they argued about coffee during their Disneyland visit. “We got into an argument about something that happened during the show,” she laughed. “We got into a full-blown argument at the studio. I was like, I can’t believe this is happening. Like in front of everyone. And I was like, I cannot believe this is happening about bloody coffee that happened during the show.”
