‘Dancing With the Stars’ Pro Artem Chigvinstev Says ‘Unexpected Health Issues’ Cause of Tour Exit
Since its kickoff in early January, Dancing with the Stars mirrorball winner Artem Chigvinstev has been a featured professional dancer on the series live tour. A fan favorite since his season 19 debut, Chigvinstev planned to continue as a performer on the tour until its scheduled end in March of this year,
However, the pro shared some surprising news to his Instagram account on Jan. 20 and told fans that he was dropping out of the tour. What is the reason Chignivstev will not continue on tour until its scheduled end?
Artem Chigvinstev says ‘unexpected health issues’ have caused him to ‘step back’ from performing
On his Instagram page, Chigvinstev wrote the following message to his fans.
“My time on tour so far has been wonderful. Unfortunately, I am having to step away from the tour for a while due to some unexpected health issues,” he explained.
“My goal is to recover as quickly as possible, so I can rejoin my cast and crew on this incredible tour. Thank you for your patience and understanding. See you soon, Artem.”
Chigvintsev most recently competed on season 30 with The Office actress Melora Hardin.
In a statement to People Magazine, a representative for the ABC series appeared hopeful Chigvinstev would return to the tour.
“The DWTS: Live! Tour is continuing as planned with our cast of amazing pros — we wish Artem a speedy recovery and look forward to having him back in the show in the very near future.”

The ‘Dancing with the Stars’ tour will continue as scheduled
The Dancing with the Stars 2022 tour stars Brandon Armstrong, Alan Bersten, Artem Chigvintsev, Sasha Farber, Daniella Karagach, Pasha Pashkov, Gleb Savchenko, Emma Slater, Britt Stewart, Sofia Ghavami, and Koko Iwasaki.
Season 30 professionals Cheryl Burke, Sharna Burgess, Val Chmerkovskiy, Jenna Johnson, Lindsay Arnold, and Witney Carson are noticeably absent.
Celebrities who have joined the tour for select performances include mirrorball winners Kaitlyn Bristowe, Iman Shumpert, Jimmie Allen, and Amanda Kloots.
During the performance, fans will see their favorite dance and show routines in an intimate setting.
Dancing with the Stars is currently on hiatus.
