‘Dancing With the Stars’: Brian Austin Green Jokes, ‘If I Mess Up, I Wouldn’t Be Surprised if Sharna Left Me’
Brian Austin Green made a joke regarding his relationship of almost one year with professional dancer Sharna Burgess and their Dancing With the Stars pairing. Ahead of his first performance on the ballroom floor, Green said he feared a misstep during their Foxtrot. He said if he messed up, “I wouldn’t be surprised if Sharna left me.” Season 30 of the series debuted on Sept. 20.

Green and Burgess confirmed their relationship nine months ago, in Dec. 2020.
Fans speculated Burgess had a new love after she admitted she was happy with “someone special” on Instagram. The couple spent the Christmas holidays together and later, confirmed their union in separate Instagram posts weeks later.
Married to Meghan Fox for 10 years, Green and the movie star share three children; boys Noah, 8, Bodhi, 7, and Journey, 4. Son Kassius Lijah Marcil-Green, 19, is the product of the actor’s four-year romance with former General Hospital star Vanessa Marcil.
Burgess has been on Dancing With the Stars since season 16. She became a fan favorite and performed in every season until the show’s 28th. Burgess was not asked to return after winning a mirrorball alongside Bobby Bones in season 27. She kept her private life as such throughout her run on the series.

The actor appeared to worry about his skills on the ballroom floor in a videotaped package that aired ahead of his first performance on the ABC competition series.
The couple’s first dance, a foxtrot set to Silk Sonic’s “Skate,” was both romantic and joyful.
In a pre-taped package where the two rehearsed their routine, Green admitted his hesitancy about entering his partner’s professional world.
In the video package, Green jokes, “If I mess this up, I wouldn’t be surprised if Sharna left me.”
Brian previously showed off his dance skills on ‘Beverly Hills 90210’
In the package, Green danced and sang in a video from his days as one of the stars of Beverly Hills 90210.
His character, David Silver, was in pursuit of a music career. In the clip seen above, David sang and danced for his fellow castmates. He had a hip-hop vibe and dressed in a style reminiscent of the midpoint of the decade.

Dancing With the Stars has a way of creating love on the ballroom floor.
While Green and Burgess are not the first couple to dance together, they are the first to start the season in an established relationship.
“I think this is a really cool opportunity to have a real relationship and have that chemistry, and you’re not trying to create it for the show, it’s there,” Green explained. “It’s a different thing to show people than what they’ve seen.”

Artem Chigvinstev and celebrity contestant Nikki Bella were partners for season 25 of DWTS in 2017. The couple began dating in January 2019.
Pros Peta Murgatroyd and Maksim Chmerkovskiy also found love on the dance floor, as did his brother Val Chmerkovskiy and Jenna Johnson. Pros Emma Slater and Sasha Farber also found love on the set of the show.
Shark Tank star Robert Herjavec and his pro partner Kym Johnson did not date when they were first paired together for season 20. By the end of the series 12-week run, they were in a committed relationship.
Dancing With the Stars airs Mondays at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
