Country singer Jana Kramer appeared on season 23 of Dancing with the Stars. Kramer and her partner Gleb Savchenko performed several memorable dances throughout the season. But the one fans are still talking about is their bed dance from season 23’s Latin Night.

The DWTS judges gave the couple a perfect score for their performance —one Savchenko initially had other plans for. Find out what Savchenko envisioned for the sexy number and why they didn’t celebrate their first 10s of the season.

Jana Kramer and Gleb Savchenko were partners on ‘Dancing with the Stars’

The award-winning country artist danced with Savchenko in season 23 of Dancing with the Stars. Throughout the season, Kramer and Savchenko scored favorably with the judges. They also won over many fans, who voted the couple through to the finals.

Kramer and Savchenko came in fourth place in Dancing with the Stars Season 23. Olympic gymnast Laurie Hernandez and Valentin Chmerkovskiy took home the Mirror Ball that season.

Gleb Savchenko and Jana Kramer’s bed dance is one of the steamiest ‘DWTS’ performances

During the “Gleb & Flow” episode of her Whine Down podcast, Kramer reminisces about her days competing on Dancing with the Stars. “I was even uncomfortable,” Kramer admits to her former partner. “But that dance in the bed was sexy.” As Savchenko explains, the dance was supposed to be even sexier.

“The original idea was I wanted you to start with two other guys,” Savchenko interjects. “And then me come in. They did not approve that because ‘it’s a family show.'”

Their steamy performance started with Kramer laying in a bed and ended with her and Savchenko tangoing amidst a rain shower. The duo received a perfect score that night, which Kramer remembers as the night her father was in the audience.

“I still, to this day, can’t watch that dance because I’m like, ‘How did ABC approve this?'” Kramer laughs.

There was no time to celebrate their first 10’s of the season

Kramer and Savchenko’s Argentine Tango to “Hand To Myself” by Selena Gomez instantly won the judges over. All four of them gave a standing ovation as the duo approached the judges’ panel to receive their perfect score — a 40 for the night.

Excited about their achievement, Kramer wanted to celebrate. But as Savchenko recalls on the podcast, there was no time.

“I was like, ‘What? Celebrate?'” says the DWTS pro. At the time, all he could think about was choreographing the next dance, which he had to start teaching Kramer the next day. “I was so caught up in the next thing, I was like ‘No, let’s keep pushing it.'”

Kramer recalls another tense moment during that season when Savchenko called her a “b****.” Producers included clips of the fight in a package before one of their performances.

As the two discussed on the podcast, that difficult moment doesn’t speak for the bond they shared competing together on the show. Regardless of their “fights,” Kramer would do Dancing with the Stars again in a heartbeat — but only if Savchenko is her partner.
