‘Dancing with the Stars’: Hannah Brown’s Dad Reveals Whether She Ever Dated Her Partner Alan Bersten
Hannah Brown‘s dating life has been front and center for the world to see for the past year. She failed to find love on Colton Underwood‘s season of The Bachelor. And then, she tried again as the bachelorette, which turned out even worse. Then, she tried to go back to her second and third runner-ups. Maybe Brown just wasn’t meant to find love while filming a Bachelor show.
During her Bachelor hiatus, she competed on Dancing with the Stars and got pretty close to her partner, Alan Bersten. Fans immediately started hoping that a romance would blossom between the two of them.

At the end of her time on The Bachelorette, Brown picked Jed Wyatt but ended her engagement to him after finding out that he had a girlfriend the entire time he was on the show.
“I am not with Jed anymore,” she said on the live finale. “The engagement is over, we are not together. That is not what I said yes to. When I said those things, the things that I said to him on my engagement date, I thought that was my day, and I feel like that was taken from me and how special that was, and it’s been really hard to gravel with that, but I know that what I got is not what I ever wanted for a life partner and love that is not built on a foundation of trust and honesty. I have grown so much, and I know I deserved more than that.”
Then, she tried to get back together with Tyler Cameron, but he started dating model Gigi Hadid. When that didn’t work out, she crashed Peter Weber’s season of The Bachelor and tried to win him back.
“My heart was very confused,” she told Weber on the show of her choice not to pick him. “I don’t know what I did. I don’t know what the f*ck I was doing. I don’t know. I’m really f*cked up. I don’t know, Peter, I question what I should have done, and I question a lot.”
But ultimately, Weber decided to continue on his journey as the bachelor.

After Brown came back to Dancing with the Stars, she talked to Bersten about what had happened with Weber.
“She is a very honest person and I think she’ll say that it did affect her and you know, at the time, I wasn’t 100 percent aware of everything that was going on,” Bersten told Us Weekly. “She told me some things … luckily I was able to help her get through it.”
Bersten helped Brown work through her emotions and start to feel better.
“It was a very real moment and you know, she realized that I was there for her. If she needed anything I could help her own and she could confide in me,” he said. “I don’t watch the show enough to know enough about Peter, so I want her to be happy.”

Though Brown and Bersten had a close friendship and fans wanted them to get together, they have never admitted whether they dated.
When asked about it, Brown’s father, Robert Brown, denied the relationship completely.
“No, no, no,” he told Life & Style. “I mean, he texts me from time to time.”
He continued: “They’re just friends, they’re just friends. No, there’s nothing more there.”
