Season 33 of Dancing with the Stars continues to shock fans with its casting choices, which include some of the most surprising celebrity competitors and heartbreaking pro losses in the show’s history. The show kept its choices close to the chest before the cast’s major reveal on Good Morning America, but the news has finally been revealed. Here are the celebrities who will try to win a Mirrorball trophy this season.
Which celebrities are set to compete on ‘Dancing with the Stars’ season 33?
Olympic gymnast Stephen Nedoroscik was the first celebrity confirmed for the season and was soon joined by basketball pro Dwight Howard. Both will attempt to learn challenging ballroom techniques as they progress through the competition weekly.
Bachelorette star Jenn Tran, fresh off a breakup with David Strader, is also a part of the cast. Former Beverly Hills 90210 star Tori Spelling has joined the ballroom, as has former Family Matters star Reginald VelJohnson.
Sports Illustrated cover model Brooks Nader, actor Eric Roberts, con artist Anna Delvey, PLL Summer School actor Chandler Kinney, Olympian Ilona Mahr, former Bachelor lead Joey Graziadei, NFL superstar Danny Amendola, and Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks round out the cast.
Which pros are returning to ‘DWTS’ Season 33?
Ezra Sosa has been promoted to a pro for season 33 after confirmation that Artem Chigvintsev will not return this season following an arrest for suspicion of felony domestic violence in Northern California, reports The Washington Post.
Witney Carson, a Mirrorball-winning pro, is also returning after sitting out season 32. In season 19, she took home the glittery trophy alongside Dancing with the Stars host Alfonso Ribeiro.
Jenna Johnson and her husband, Val Chmerkovskiy, have also returned. Rylee Arnold, sister of former DWTS pro Lindsay Arnold, is hitting the dance floor for her second season.
Emma Slater is returning for her 16th season, as is season 30 champ Daniella Karagach and her husband, Pasha Pashkov. Alan Bersten will hit the floor for his 9th season as a pro, as will Brandon Armstrong, Gleb Savchenko, Sasha Farber, and Britt Stewart.
Karagach, Slater, Murgatroyd, Bersten, Chigvintsev, Johnson, and Chmerkovskiy have all won Mirrorballs. However, the playing field is wide open each season for a new pro to win with their chosen celebrity.
The shocking pro losses this season
