Danica Patrick Responds After Being Trolled Over Aaron Rodgers Breakup
Danica Patrick hasn’t been silent on social media following her breakup with Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, and neither have the internet trolls.
While Patrick hasn’t commented specifically on the split, her rep confirmed in July that the former NASCAR driver and the NFL star ended their relationship after two years of dating. A lot of her followers have brought up the breakup on her Instagram posts and Patrick decided to respond to one troll who left a mean comment about it. Here’s what she had to say and who fans think she should date next.
Patrick posts quotes about healing and emotional therapy
When the news that Patrick and Rodgers weren’t seeing each other anymore broke, the former IndyCar driver took to Instagram with a number of quotes and messages about healing and emotional therapy classes.
One quote she shared about relationships read, “Look at the chosen relationships in your life and notice any themes. What role do you play? Who are you with them? Who do you believe you need to be? What stories do you tell yourself about what they can offer you? What can they or can’t they handle? The way you choose people may offer you insight into what you’re craving or what shifts you may need to make in order to shift an overworked role you’ve held for a long time.”
Patrick also revealed that in her emotional therapy class “you put your hand on your heart and lower stomach (sacral) to reset the body between moves. ……Today I put my left hand on my stomach…. and the back of my right hand on my back, surrounding the solar plexus chakra, and all I heard was — I got you, I always have. That is the main chakra that lights up on me in life.”
Troll leaves nasty comment about her breakup
When one follower left a rude remark about her past relationships not working out, Patrick didn’t take that lying down and decided to shut the commenter down with a response.
The troll said, “At 38, its [sic] over for you in the relationship world with high value men. From a failed marriage to failed dating clearly you have a problem in dating.”
TMZ noted that Patrick responded via her Instagram Story writing, “If we let what one person thinks of us be our reality, we are doomed. Realize that what someone says to us has a lot more to do with their own wounds and reality than ours. Our reality is our decision.”
Other fans praised Patrick and have an idea about who she should date
It’s not all hate she’s received though.
Patrick also shared photos and videos of a recent trip to a lake with some friends. The Pretty Intense podcast host appeared to be enjoying herself and even took up some water sports.
Plenty of her followers immediately flooded the comments section with words of comfort and telling her she’s “beautiful” and “strong.” Many left heart and fire emojis as well. And according to Pop Culture.com, a number of fans think she should date former quarterback and Very Cavallari star Jay Cutler next now that he’s single as well.
