‘Darcey & Stacey’: Fans React to Finding Out That Darcey Silva’s Boyfriend Is Still Married
On the new 90 Day Fiancé spinoff, Darcey & Stacey, Darcey Silva and her sister, Stacey Silva, are dealing with the new reality of the coronavirus (COVID-19). However, it works out in Darcey’s favor, because she is now living with her boyfriend, Georgi Rusev, during quarantine. After initially asking him to come and visit and he said no, he’s now changed his mind, and they get a cute little apartment to share during this time.
But there’s been some trouble in paradise. Darcey recently revealed a shocking secret to producers, and some fans are having a hard time wrapping their heads around it.
Darcey Silva reveals that Georgi Rusev is still married
In the all-new episode, a producer asks Darcey if she’s alright, and they also ask what’s going on. She goes on to reveal that her boyfriend, Georgi, is still married.
“There’s one thing that’s come to the surface being in quarantine with Gerogi,” Darcey says. “I haven’t said anything. It started to feel like I needed to talk about it with someone else other than Georgi, ‘cause I need to understand it myself. He told me that um, he’s still married. But, he’s separated, going through a divorce.” She takes a deep breath, and it’s unclear where things go from here for the new couple.
In another scene, Georgi is seated side by side with Darcey, and he goes into more detail about his previous relationship. “I’ve been married for almost three years,” Georgi admits. “My soon to be ex-wife, we met in the modeling event four years ago. We like each other. We dated maybe six, seven months, before I propose. In the beginning was great. We get to point where we kinda, we cannot stand each other. We have old arguments and problems. We separate more than a year ago.”
Georgi goes on to say that he applied for a divorce before meeting Darcey. He also says that the first time he talked with Darcey in Miami, he told her about his situation. However, Darcey says she doesn’t remember him telling her that in Miami, and she says “drinks were involved.” With the courts shut down, Georgi is still married even though he thought the divorce would be finalized by now.
