‘Darcey & Stacey’: Why Stacey Silva’s Sons Are Excluded From Her Reality Show

Fans of 90 Day Fiancé are already familiar with Darcey and Stacey Silva. The twin sisters started their climb to fame on the romance-focused reality show, but they are now expanding their show business presence with a new reality show.

But viewers have noticed something about Stacey that has them wondering what’s going on. 

From ’90 Day Fiancé’ to their own show

The world first met Darcey on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, when she was dating Dutch model Jesse Meester. The match didn’t turn out to be a lasting love connection, due to Meester’s infidelity and the couple’s general instability. But the show did put Darcey and her twin sister Stacey in the limelight, so it’s fair to say the sisters discovered at least one kind of love. 

The twins are known for extreme twinning. They grew up wearing matching clothes, and they went on to get married and have kids at the same time. Then they both got divorced on the same day. 

Last month the sisters launched their own reality show, Darcey & Stacey, and it’s already delivering the drama. Stacey is engaged to a man from Albania called Florian Sukaj, and there are hints that he may have been unfaithful. 

While fans are waiting to see the fate of the two’s relationship, some have noticed something else about Stacey: her sons are nowhere to be seen. 

Where are Stacey Silva’s sons?

Stacey was previously married to a soccer player from Serbia, Goran Vasic. They had two sons together, Parker and Mateo, before their divorce. While Darcey’s two daughters, Aniko and Aspen appear on-camera regularly, Stacey’s sons are almost never seen. 

This could be written off as being the choice of a mom who wants to be protective of her children’s privacy except for one thing: she didn’t seem to have a problem with showing them off in the past. 

Back in 2010, the sisters had plans to be in another reality show based on their lives. Called The Twin Life, it took place before their eerily timed divorces.

It never made it to television, but they did film a pilot episode. And in that episode, the whole family is seen on camera. The twins, their husbands, and all four kids are shown. So what changed?

What we know about the boys

The Twin Life was canceled before it could take off because the women’s marriages fell apart shortly after the pilot was filmed. Since their divorce, according to Distractify, Stacey’s sons are rarely seen on screen, and people think it might be because Goran prefers to keep their lives more private. 

Because the boys are so rarely seen on camera and their mom and dad are both circumspect about what they share on social media when it comes to their sons, we know very little about them. It’s clear that they are generally the same ages as Darcey’s daughters, since the sisters are known to have had their kids at roughly the same time, but the girls’ exact ages aren’t known. 

Stacey shared a picture of her older son, Mateo last year, saying that he’s an aspiring filmmaker and writer, and his dad shared a few pictures of him on Facebook last month, on the occasion of his 17th birthday. The two boys are kept out of the limelight so much that it’s not even clear if Stacey has custody of them. 

At least one of the boys’ parents and maybe both of them are doing their best to protect their sons from the public view. Of course, that does bring up a question: how private can their lives be when their mom is on television and such an open book?
