Jenelle Evans and August Keen were spotted in North Carolina last week. While it was initially unclear what the Teen Mom 2 alum and her love interest were doing in town, it appears they were in the state of business. Jenelle Evans appeared in court for her divorce from David Eason, but a continuance was issued. It looks like David Eason is finally ready to find a lawyer.

Jenelle Evans accuses her estranged husband of having inappropriate material on memory cards

Jenelle Evans isn’t holding back. While the mother of three might have made excuses for her troubled husband’s behavior in the past, now she’s letting everything out. She’s even pointing out potential criminal behavior.

During an August 2024 hearing, Evans took the stand and accused her estranged husband of the exploitation of a minor. According to The Ashley Reality Roundup Group, Evans claimed she found evidence of exploitation of a minor on memory cards Eason stored inside her North Carolina home. She did not elaborate on the nature of the evidence. She also did not say who was featured in it before breaking down into sobs. Evans stepped down from the stand as a witness following the revelation.

She recently took to social media to insist she shared what she found with the authorities. Nothing has come of it, at least not yet. In previous social media posts, Evans has alluded to uncovering secrets about her estranged husband after he moved out of the house.

According to the publication, Eason was not in court when the allegations were made. Eason has been a no-show during more than one court appearance. During one hearing, he arrived late because he was allegedly looking for counsel inside the courthouse. He even approached one of Evans’ former criminal attorneys for representation.

David Eason is now seeking a lawyer for his divorce case

David Eason, apparently, is ready to take his divorce case seriously. While the troubled North Carolina native has been representing himself in his divorce thus far, he’s now prepared to lawyer up. According to The Ashley, a judge agreed to a continuance after Eason said he needed more time to find legal representation.

August Keen Calls 911 On Jenelle Evans Following a Drunken Argument

Eason has yet to find a lawyer. Still, Teen Mom fans are curious about where he will get the money to pay for them once he secures representation. Eason has not held a traditional job since meeting Jenelle Evans. That did not change when he moved out of their shared home in February. He admitted to having just over $100 in his bank account during a previous hearing.

It is possible that Eason’s new girlfriend, Kenleigh Heatwole, is bankrolling his defense. The 20-something and Eason have been seeing each other for several months, and things appear to be getting serious. She’s taken to social media several times to toss barbs at Evans, and Eason appears to be living in her home with her. Her funding Eason’s legal defense isn’t unlikely.
