Nancy is still nursing a broken heart from her divorce on Days of Our Lives. Her husband Craig shocked her with his revelation that he’s gay. She didn’t take the news well, but she eventually made peace with Craig. Since her ex-husband is moving on, Nancy decides to do the same.
With Bonnie Lockhart’s (Judi Evans) help, Nancy gets back into the dating game. Bonnie set up an online dating profile for her friend, and within a matter of minutes, Nancy has an interested suitor. Nancy’s new beau happens to be one of Salem’s most notorious bad boys.
Clyde Weston becomes Nancy Wesley’s new boyfriend
Days of Our Lives viewers are shocked when Nancy’s date is none other than Clyde Weston (James Read). Clyde is one of Salem’s notorious criminals and was recently released from prison. He’s readjusting to everyday life and is ready to find love.
Nancy and Clyde meet at the Brady Pub, where their meeting starts awkwardly. Clyde breaks the ice by telling Nancy he’s an ex-con. She’s stunned by his revelation but appreciates him being honest.
As their date continues, Clyde charms Nancy by boosting her self-esteem. Although he turns down Nancy’s invitation to accompany her to Craig and Leo Stark’s (Greg Rikaart) wedding, he says he’s interested in her. So it looks like Nancy and Clyde’s date isn’t a one-time deal.
Salem reacts to the newest oddball couple
Nancy and Clyde’s romance already has Days of Our Lives fans talking. On a Reddit thread, fans had mixed reactions to the pairing. “I’m actually digging this! Nancy was quite the manipulative schemer back in the day, and Clyde can be quite charming. It’ll be fun to see where this goes,” wrote a supporter.
However, others weren’t so supportive.
