‘Days of Our Lives’ Speculation: A Bigger Role for Li Shin?
Days of Our Lives has had no shortage of amazing special guest stars through the years. And on this week’s speculation, we discuss the possibility of a recurring character becoming a more regular — or, perhaps, contract — one. Remington Hoffman first dazzled fans in his role on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Will he dazzle even more as Li Shin, and on a permanent basis?

Remington Hoffman had his first ‘big break’ on ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D’
If Remington Hoffman looks familiar to Marvel fans, it’s because the Days of Our Lives star got his first “big break” on the hit show, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. On the show, he appeared as Maston-Dar on more than a few episodes. He was tasked with finding Quake and other Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., but he was ultimately killed by Sinara before he could complete the mission.
And back in December 2021, Days fans got to see Hoffman as Li Shin. Back then, fans knew that he was playing an important role in DiMera Enterprises, especially since he was known as the son of a DiMera Enterprises board member (Wei Shin).
Hoffman’s debut on the show, though, was a sign of things to come. And this week’s Days of Our Lives speculation suggests that his most recent appearance might be a harbinger of bigger things…and, perhaps, a bigger role.
On ‘Days of Our Lives,’ he plays Li Shin — and he played an important role in the March 7 episode
Soaps.com has a recap of the March 7 Days of Our Lives episode, which of course focused on how the Devil is making Gabi do some of the most devious things. (The “Devil” in this case is “JoDevil,” whom more and more people are realizing is possessed.) And as Soaps.com points out in their recap of the episode, Li Shin was privy to things that no one else in DiMera Enterprises was privy to.
“Kate finds Li Shin at the DiMera office. She learns Gabi and “Johnny” have called a meeting while Chad and Tony are away. She wonders what is so pressing about their agenda. Li isn’t at liberty to discuss it,” reports the outlet. “Kate assumes Li will vote for Jake, so the vote would end in a tie, making it a moot point. However, when the official vote is taken, JoDevil compels Shin to vote his way. Jake explodes again as Gabi explains she overheard him double-crossing her with Maggie. Jake doesn’t know what she’s talking about. “Johnny” advises Gabi to get settled in her new office and he’ll take care of Jake.”
So Li Shin was not only privy to Gabi’s machinations, but he was able to be manipulated by Jo-Devil. And given the way Li Shin voted, the latest Days of Our Lives speculation suggests we’ll be seeing a lot more of him in the near future.
Will we be seeing more of him?
On the IMDb page of Remington Hoffman are a lot of appearances on Days of Our Lives. This seems to confirm that he’ll be back on the show in some form or another in the near future. And given what an important role he played in Gabi’s latest power move, it only makes sense that Li Shin will be rewarded for his loyalty.
Of course, this is all just speculation. We’ll just have to tune in to upcoming episodes of Days of Our Lives to see what happens next.
