‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Xander and Gwen Start Scheming as Ben Sees Signs of Marlena’s Demonic Possession
It’s almost October, Days of Our Lives fans, so you know what that means: time for another demonic possession! Yes, all the teaser videos of late have been promising to show veteran character Marlena’s possession, and it looks like we’re finally going to see it. Plus, Xander and Gwen are scheming and plotting. Hey, they can join the party with Philip and Ava, and Gabi and Jake, and all of Salem, basically. Folks in Salem really should consider some talk therapy to work through their communication failures. How’s that for a spinoff?

On ‘Days of Our Lives,’ Marlena is becoming possessed again
What would October be without a few spooky Days of Our Lives storylines? This isn’t the first time that Marlena’s been possessed by the devil — it’s a storyline that’s come up several times over the course of the past couple of decades. But according to Celeb Dirty Laundry’s spoilers, this storyline will offer a “fresh take” on an old tale.
While it’s unclear when, exactly, Marlena will be possessed again, it seems to be a bit of an October tradition for the show. So, fans of Days of Our Lives can probably expect the first signs of it no later than Oct. 1. It will be interesting to see how they’ll be able to pull off the “possession” storyline without it becoming hokey.
Ben is starting to notice the signs
One way the Days of Our Lives showrunners will be doing this, according to Celeb Dirty Laundry, will be via the “slow and steady” route. According to the outlet, Ben is going to begin opening up to Marlena on the Sept. 24 episode of the show, and that’s when he’ll notice something is “different” about Marlena.
What’s more, Marlena will start to experience strange dreams around the Sept. 30 episode of the show, which is usually a sign that she’ll be transmuting into her possessed alter ego. “Ben may want to open up about all that to Marlena and get some advice,” reports the outlet. “The problem is Marlena may not be quite herself by then! Days spoilers say Marlena is set to be possessed in a new storyline that offers a fresh take on a past tale. It looks like the devil may already be in control of Marlena by the time Ben comes back to town and has another session with her.”
That certainly doesn’t sound very promising. Considering, too, that Ben is worried about handing something down to his child through his DNA, Marlena’s possession will be the last thing in the world he needs to see.
Meanwhile, elsewhere in Salem
According to SoapHub, the upcoming Days of Our Lives spoilers feature Xander and Gwen sharing sweet moments in the bed…and sharing devious schemes outside the bedroom. Soap fans can expect the devious duo to really turn up the heat on the Sept. 29 episode of the show. But they’d better beware, because Abigail is quickly coming to the conclusion that her story doesn’t add up. And, inevitably, Abigail will work overtime to stop Gwen’s devious schemes.
Gabi, for her part, is also going to be scheming and plotting her way through the next few episodes. On the Sept. 29 episode of the show, she’ll be teaming up with Jake to enact the next part of her scheme. But in the battle between Gabi and Jake vs. Philip and Ava, who will emerge victoriously?
This week’s Days of Our Lives is promising to be a pure barn-burner of a week. We’ll just have to tune in to see who will still be left standing at the end of it all.
