‘Days of Our Lives’ Weekly Recap: EJ Goes Down, Mar-Devil Lights Up
If you’re a Days of Our Lives fan, this was definitely the week for you to tune into the series. There were all sorts of madness and battiness in store. After finally getting it right with his wife, Sami, EJ gets put in the clink for her kidnapping. He, of course, swears he didn’t do it, and we’re inclined to believe him. And while Marlena’s son-in-law is fighting for his freedom, her alter ego Mar-Devil is fighting for the right to terrorize Ben and Ciara!
[Spoiler alert: Spoilers for this past week’s episodes of Days of Our Lives are ahead.]
On ‘Days of Our Lives,’ Sami and EJ finally reunited
Sami finally got some happy news of her own. On this week’s Days of Our Lives, EJ and Sami finally got back together. But, to say that their relationship is tenuous would be the height of understatement.
Remember, Sami just walked in on her “beloved husband” exchanging God knows what with Nicole, her sworn enemy. That resulted in a beatdown of epic proportions, with Sami putting hands and feet on Nicole. So, we can probably expect some tension to hang in the air because of that.
But EJ and Sami’s reunion will come in handy because they have bigger fish to fry. Namely, in the form of Johnny’s surprise wedding!
But EJ got arrested
So, here’s the thing: EJ swears he didn’t kidnap Sami. And we’re inclined to believe him (this time, anyway). But we believe that Rafe’s motives for arresting EJ have very little to do with Sami, and everything to do with that time he schtupped Nicole. Yes, we fully believe that Rafe is that petty.
Whatever the real reason behind his arrest, the Days of Our Lives recap from SoapHub revealed that it was done. EJ is sitting in the slammer, and Sami is desperate to get him out of there. Besides, we’re pretty sure that Jason was the one who snatched Sami.
“Not so indebted to Jason is Lucas,” reports SoapHub. “How dare the big lug get caught; and what’s this he’s saying about giving up his boss? Surely Jason wouldn’t rat out Lucas. This must be remedied…but how? Why blame it on EJ, of course! As if anybody would doubt EJ capable of holding his wife hostage.”
Meanwhile, Mar-Devil went hunting for Ben and Ciara’s baby!
Next week’s Days of Our Lives will feature Mar-Devil dispatching some old enemies (namely, Jan) to deal with the cops while she tries to kidnap Ben and Ciara’s baby. But she may just have overplayed her hand.
“MarDevil’s gonna do what MarDevil’s gonna do,” we previously reported. “And what she’s doing today is cause problems between Ben and Ciara. Given that Ciara’s already a bit suspicious, is MarDevil going to overplay her hand? Meanwhile, people back in Salem are getting suspicious, as evidenced when John and Shawn realize that the Westons are MIA!”
