DC FanDome 2021 Releases Sneak Peek of ‘Supergirl’ Farewell Tribute
If you’re getting sentimental about Supergirl coming to an end after six seasons, it looks like you’re not the only one. The CW show about the Girl of Steel will get its own farewell tribute during DC FanDome 2021. Many cast members will be there to discuss Supergirl and its impact on them and the world. So, fans better prepare and get a few boxes of tissues. The Supergirl farewell tribute at DC FanDome 2021 is sure to be emotional and tear-jerking. Of course, there will be a few laughs during the special as well.
DC FanDome 2021 will show a special ‘Supergirl’ farewell tribute
The Supergirl actors slated to appear at DC FanDome 2021 are Azie Tesfai, Chris Wood, Chyler Leigh, David Harewood, Jeremy Jordan, Jesse Rath, Julie Gonzalo, Katie McGrath, Mehcad Brooks, Melissa Benoist, Nicole Maines, Peta Sergeant, and Staz Nair.
DC FanDome recently released an exclusive sneak peek of the Supergirl farewell tribute, which you can view in the tweet below. In it, Benoist discusses her craziest stunt day on set, which included Tyler Hoechlin’s Superman. Then, the cast, including Tesfai and Brooks, talks about how great it is when their characters get carried by Supergirl. Benoist claimed, ‘I’ve carried almost all of you.” Tesfai replied, “It’s lovely. It’s quite comfortable.”
While this video segment from DC FanDome 2021 is quite light-hearted, fans should expect heavier, more emotional parts of the tribute as the actors reflect on their Supergirl experiences.
Will there be a sneak peek at the ‘Supergirl’ series finale during the event?
Neither DC FanDome 2021 nor Supergirl has confirmed that fans will see exclusive footage from the series finale or any upcoming episodes. But, of course, we expect that there will be a new trailer or behind-the-scenes video played during the convention.
The Supergirl farewell tribute might also feature a montage of the best moments from the past six seasons of the series. At this point, though, everything is speculation. Fans will just have to wait until Oct. 16 to see what DC FanDome 2021 has in store for Supergirl. Nevertheless, the cast is bound to be emotional when talking about the series ending.
Per Deadline, Melissa Benoist recently reflected on her time as Kara Danvers at New York Comic Con. Benoist said, “I don’t think I truly realized what I was signing up for, so my expectations…my mind was blown right from the start. It was one of the hardest, most challenging experiences of my life, and I think it will remain that for the rest of my life.”
