Deadpool Creator Rob Liefield Doesn’t Fear Getting ‘Iced’ By Marvel Studios Head Kevin Feige for ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ Spoilers
Marvel fans dissect every inch of trailers, posters, and interviews for hints about new Marvel movies and TV shows. However, in true Wade Wilson fashion, Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld came out on Twitter with some sly posts about Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Deadpool, and the Marvel Cinematic Universe. One fan tried to warn the Marvel Comics creator about Marvel Studios’ head Kevin Feige’s strict policy about spoilers. However, Liefeld refused to “chill out.”
Fans allegedly spotted Deadpool in the ‘Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness’ poster
During Super Bowl LVI, Marvel dropped trailers and posters for the Disney+ Moon Knight TV series and Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness. Doctor Strange actor Benedict Cumberbatch and Wanda Maximoff actor Elizabeth Olsen star in Doctor Strange 2 as they try to save, well, everything, after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Sleuths online combed the Doctor Strange 2 poster and allegedly spotted an image of the Ryan Reynolds Deadpool.
While rumors run wild about every Marvel movie, this one gained a little more traction.
Marvel Comics writer and artist Rob Liefield responded to some fans mentioning the Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness Deadpool connection on Twitter, despite Kevin Feige having a strict ‘no spoilers’ policy.
Deadpool Creator Rob Liefield refused to ‘chill out’ when warned what Kevin Feige might do about ‘Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness’ spoilers
News outlets reported the Ryan Reynolds Deadpool sighting in the Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness poster. Liefeld retweeted it with a wondering emoji, a laughing emoji, and then a hush emoji.
The news excited fans hoping to see the Ryan Reynolds Deadpool in the MCU.
However, one fan on Twitter knew how strict Kevin Feige felt about spoilers. They tweeted at Liefeld to “chill out,” or he might “get iced” by the Marvel Studios head.
“Nope on both counts,” Liefeld responded curtly.
Coming from the original Deadpool creator, Liefeld’s response sounds exactly like how Wade Wilson would respond to threats from higher-ups.
The comic creator ‘swears’ he heard a Fox ‘X-Men’ character in the ‘Doctor Strange 2’ trailer
Rumors of Deadpool in the Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness poster come at the same time as other murmurs of Fox X-Men movie characters. Fans suspect Doctor Strange meets the Patrick Stewart Professor Charles Xavier in the Doctor Strange 2 trailer.
And Liefeld thinks he heard Fox X-Men characters talking in the trailer as well.
“Hmmmmm….. I could swear I heard a Fox film character in this trailer,” he said on Twitter.
Deadpool in Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness might turn out to be the worst kept secret since Andrew Garfield, and Charlie Cox denied their inclusion in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
