What Delon de Metz’s New Pilot Means for His Future on ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’
Delon de Metz, who plays Zende on The Bold and the Beautiful, is rumored to be leaving the long-running CBS soap. The rumors come amidst news that the actor is filming for an NBC pilot. But de Metz’s role on Unbroken won’t affect his role on the daytime drama.
Delon de Metz has been cast in ‘Unbroken’
Deadline was the first to report that Delon de Metz had been cast in a new show called Unbroken. Interestingly, the outlet made no mention of the actor’s role on The Bold and the Beautiful. Instead, the outlet focused on his role in such shows as Zoo.
“Written and executive produced by [Shaun] Cassidy, in Unbroken, three dynastic ranch families on the central coast of California make love and war in a passionate struggle to survive, ultimately setting the stage for a group of fiercely determined young women to win big for all at the National Championship of Rodeo,” reports the outlet.
de Metz plays the role of Cole. His character runs the ranch’s trail-riding operation, and he’s also reportedly searching for “his true place in the family.” That has led fans of The Bold and the Beautiful to believe that he may be leaving the soap.
The actor isn’t leaving the soap
But as Soaps.com confirms, Delon de Metz has no plans to leave the long-running CBS daytime drama. The outlet confirms that Unbroken is still a working title for the show. What’s more, the outlet also confirms that the show is still filming, and NBC hasn’t green-lit the series quite yet.
Even if NBC does green-light the series, though, de Metz still has a home on The Bold and the Beautiful. “Does this mean that Zende’s going to leave town when he learns that he’s well and truly lost Paris to Carter?” asks the outlet, rhetorically. “In a word, no. In fact, Soaps.com hears that the actor’s work on onetime Hardy Boy Shaun Cassidy’s Unbroken won’t even affect his daytime role.”
And as fans of the hit CBS soap know, de Metz’s Zende is playing an important role in a central storyline.

Fans of The Bold and the Beautiful know that Delon de Metz, who plays Zende, is currently involved in a love triangle between Paris (Diamond White) and Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor). Though Zende is currently dating a Forrester creations model (Shireen Crutchfield), Dr. Grace Buckingham (Cassandra Creech) wants nothing more than for Zende to be her new son-in-law.
Besides, Dr. Buckingham isn’t exactly a fan of poor Carter.
And while some fans of the show certainly miss Rome Flynn in the role of “adult Zende,” they’re enjoying Delon de Metz in the same role. So it would be a shame if he’d left The Bold and the Beautiful for any reason. And, thankfully, it doesn’t look like he’s going anywhere anytime soon.
