Demi Lovato has a powerful, passionate voice. Some might even say it has the ability to wake the dead. In a recent interview, the singer spoke about a trip they took to an old ghost town in Arizona called Vulture City for Unidentified With Demi Lovato. While exploring an abandoned brothel in the area, Lovato sang to an audience of ghosts. And, apparently, they loved it.
Vulture City
According to Vulture City’s website, the abandoned town is located in the Sonoran Desert in Arizona and was established in 1863.
“From 1863 to 1942, the mine produced 340,000 ounces of gold and 260,000 ounces of silver and has been credited with founding the town of Wickenburg,” reads the site. “This rise to fame came as swiftly as its fall and in 1942 the War Production Board ordered the closing of all non-essential mines to ensure that resources were focused on the war effort. The closing of the mine determined the fate of Vulture City and the town was abandoned shortly thereafter.”
Today, it is said to be inhabited by ghosts.
Demi Lovato’s haunted Vulture City performance
In an interview with Face to Face with Becky G, Lovato spoke about their experience at Vulture City.
“We were originally setting out to search for UFOs and ETs [extraterrestrials] and then we came across this city called Vulture City,” they said. “Vulture City is known for these ghosts that lived in an old brothel, and so we set-up those machines [EMF detectors] and I decided to sing for them and they went off when I finished.”
The singer believes the response shown on the EMF detector suggested that their other worldly audience enjoyed the show.
“I’ve never had a standing ovation from ghosts, but I’d like to think they were standing,” they said.
Demi Lovato has previously communicated with extraterrestrials via meditation
This wasn’t the first time the singer’s made contact with what they believed to be an extraterrestrial.
“I have made contact,” they said. “It’s not been in like the ‘ET phone home’ type of sense, but I have made contact by meditating and looking up and seeing things in the sky that weren’t there when I started meditating.”
But the singer wouldn’t mind doing more than just making contact with an ET. The Face to Face host asked Lovato: “If there was an ET that hit every box of criteria that would be like the most ideal partner, would you date an ET?”
“Yes, absolutely I am so tired of humans!” said Lovato. “I am so tired of humans and their human bullsh*t. I am so over it! Bring me an alien! Bring me an ET!”
