Demi Moore and Bruce Willis’ Wife Emma Are Actually Good Friends

Demi Moore and Bruce Willis have made quite the blended family. Despite having divorced in 2000 after 13 years of marriage, the actors have remained close friends. They quarantined together during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic lockdown, and Moore has gone so far as to say she feels more connected to Willis now than she ever did when they were married.

Someone she also feels a close connection to is Willis’ wife, Emma Heming Willis. Through the way they publicly show up for each other and how they interact on social media, two women have made clear that they see each other as family.

How long have Bruce Willis and Emma Heming Willis been married?

According to Access Online, the Die Hard star said in a 2009 interview with W magazine that he and Heming started out as friends. They quickly realized after their first date that they were meant for each other. Willis married the actress/model in 2009, and they now share two daughters, Mabel, 8, and Evelyn, 6. Moore, who was married to Ashton Kutcher at the time, attended their 2009 wedding.

In 2019, Heming and Willis renewed their vows with their young daughters by their side. Also in attendance were Willis and Moore’s daughters, Rumer Willis, 32, Scout Willis, 29, and Tallulah Willis, 26, and Moore herself. In fact, Heming told Us Weekly that she wouldn’t have wanted to renew her wedding vows without the Ghost star there.

“She welcomed me into her family like I welcomed her into ours,” Heming told the outlet. “Again, I have so much respect for her. I have so much respect for how Bruce and Demi worked through their divorce to be able to put their children first. I learned so much from that and grew so much from watching that. It was important for her to be there. She was at our first wedding. I loved having her there again. I wouldn’t do it without her.”

Demi Moore and Emma Heming Willis see each other as family

There really is no doubting that these two women are close. When Moore released her memoir, Inside Out, in 2019, her children, her ex, and Heming all attended the book launch party. In June, the model commemorated her 42nd birthday with Willis, Moore, and other members of their blended family.

She shared sweet photos from the day on Instagram—one a group shot, another of her, Willis, and Moore lighting the candles on her birthday cake.

“It really was a happy birthday for me,” the mom of two wrote.

More recently, the family celebrated Moore’s 58th birthday on Nov. 11. In addition to the sweet tributes the GI Jane star received from her children, Heming posted a short but touching tribute to the actress on her Instagram Story.

The 42-year-old shared a selfie of her and Willis holding up Moore’s book with the caption, “Happy birthday @demimoore. We adore you!”

Moore has also shown her love for Heming through social media. On June 21, 2020, Moore shared a family photo on her Instagram wishing her ex a happy Father’s Day.

“Happy Father’s Day, Bruce! Your kids are so lucky to have you,” she wrote.

The photo series showed Moore, Willis, Heming, and all five of the Willis children happily celebrating the day. In May, Moore also shared a behind-the-scenes photo of a “family photo shoot” on Instagram that featured Heming.

“Family photo shoot #bts… social distancing style,” the actress wrote.

Clearly, there’s nothing but love between these two.
