Deon Derrico ‘Still Very Much In Love’ With Ex-Wife Karen Derrico Despite Divorce
Karen and Deon Derrico’s marriage might be over, but the love is still there.
The stars of the TLC reality series Doubling Down With the Derricos stunned fans when they recently confirmed reports that they had divorced after nearly two decades of marriage. However, even though the couple has split, that doesn’t mean they are forgetting what they once had, Deon recently shared.

For the past four years, Karen and Deon have offered TLC viewers a peek at their hectic lives as the parents to 14 kids, including multiple sets of multiples.
Since its premiere in 2020, Doubling Down With the Derricos has chronicled the Las Vegas couple’s ups and downs, including the birth of their now 4-year-old triplets, chaotic but memorable family vacations and milestones, their stress over their cramped living quarters, and grandma GG’s cancer diagnosis. Now, the show may be adding navigating divorce to its storyline (assuming it is renewed for season 6).
On June 14, TMZ reported that Karen and Deon had filed for divorce on June 4, with the split finalized two days later. Soon after, the couple confirmed to People that they had ended their marriage after 19 years together.
Deon says he still loves Karen
Karen and Deon have not commented on what led to their decision to divorce. In a statement, they said they were committed to parenting their 13 minor children together. “Their well-being is our priority,” the couple said.
In recent days, the pair has been presenting a unified front on social media, with multiple posts promoting new episodes of Doubling Down With the Derricos and emphasizing their focus on their family and kids.
On June 18, Deon shared a snap of himself, Karen, and his mom GG on Instagram, along with a caption recalling their big move from Detroit to Las Vegas 18 years ago.
In the comments, one fan shared her love for the family and expressed hope that Deon and Karen were still together.
“Awwww thank you I’m still very much in love with her,” Deon replied.

Karen and Deon will split custody of their children following the divorce, according to reports. Deon will pay $1,166 per month in child support, while Karen will cover the kids’ health insurance premiums.
Deon has stressed that he and Karen are focused on the well-being of their children as they navigate life post-divorce.
“[O]ur babies are happy!!” Deon wrote in response to a critical comment posted on an Instagram video of the Derrico kids dancing. “And that’s because both Karen, and I remain committed to giving them a nurturing environment no matter what she and I personally have going on!!!! Our babies being loved, heard, and seen is what matters to them and it shows!!”
