‘Dexter: New Blood’: Was That [Spoiler] in Kurt’s Trophy Room?
Dexter: New Blood Episode 9 featured some shocking twists and turns. Dexter and Harrison were surprised to learn that Kurt did not leave town after nearly killing Harrison. This led the father/son duo to investigate Kurt further. Dexter fans finally got to see what Kurt does with the bodies of his victims. Fans also noticed that there might be more than one familiar face in Kurt’s trophy room.

Dexter and Kurt discovered Kurt’s trophy room in ‘Dexter: New Blood’ Episode 9
Dexter and Harrison had a close call with Kurt when he nearly killed Harrison in episode 8. Dexter thought Kurt would skip town after failing to get his revenge, but Kurt doesn’t give up so easily. In Dexter: New Blood Episode 9, Dexter and Harrison team up to take down Kurt. Using Harrison’s drone, they are able to discover Kurt’s trophy room.
The pair break into his underground lair and make a shocking discovery. There they find the bodies of many young women, preserved and on display. There are several recognizable faces, including Kurt’s first victim shown in the revival. Dexter also spots Molly Park among Kurt’s victims.
Fans think Kurt killed Tess Silvera
While Dexter and Harrison walk through the rows of Kurt’s victims, another face that looked somewhat familiar appears. “Did anyone noticed that in the trophy room there is the Spanish teacher from episode 3 ?” a fan wrote on Reddit.
“She’s also the bartender right?” another fan clarified. “The one that Kurt would go and dance with after he murdered girls. Maybe he thought she was the reason Dexter was onto him as well, just like Molly. You would THINK a upstanding member of the town like her people would notice missing right? Although people could think she is visiting family for Christmas I guess…”
This woman is named Tess Silvera. She is the bartender in Iron Lake, as well as the science teacher at Harrison’s school. It’s true that one of the victims in Kurt’s trophy room has similar dark hair and bangs to Tess. However, Tess doesn’t fit Kurt’s runaway code.
At the same time, Kurt has been known to stray from his typical M.O. from time to time. He targeted Harrison for revenge and Molly because she was digging into the missing girls in Iron Lake. Like the above Reddit user points out, perhaps Kurt thought that Tess knew something about him and decided to take her out.

There’s only one episode left of Dexter: New Blood and fans are anticipating an explosive finale. So far, a second season of the revival has not been confirmed, so episode 10 could have a very shocking ending.
