‘Dexter’ Has Been Releasing Hidden Teasers Ahead of the Revival’s Premiere

'Dexter' will return to Showtime this fall with a 10-episode limited series that'll focus on him in hiding. Three trailers have come out so far, but there are also some teaser images floating around that you probably haven't even noticed. Here's how to see them.

Dexter: New Blood is one of the most anticipated Showtime series coming this year. The show will pick up a decade after the events in the original series finale, following Dexter Morgan as he continues to hide out in a remote small town. Three trailers have been released so far, but there are also teaser images being put out by Showtime that many fans probably haven’t seen. Here’s how to find them.

New blood spills in the revival

In Dexter: New Blood, we’ll get to see what Dexter has been up to in the present day. He’s built a new life for himself in the fictional Iron Lake, New York as Jim Lindsay, a salesman at a local hunting store. But that’s not to say he’s turned over a new leaf completely.

“Dexter always has what we call ‘the dark passenger’ living inside him,” showrunner Clyde Phillips previously told TV Insider in an interview about the revival. “He is more grounded than he’s ever been, but that dark passenger is a voice he cannot deny. This is Dexter. People are going to die.”

Michael C. Hall, who plays the killer, be joined by Clancy Brown (The Crown), Julia Jones (The Mandalorian), Jamie Chung (Lovecraft Country), Alano Miller (Sylvie’s Love), Jack Alcott (The Good Lord Bird), Johnny Sequoyah (Believe), Michael Cyril Creighton (Game Night, Dash & Lily), Oscar Wahlberg (Manchester By the Sea), and David Magidoff (The Morning Show), among others, per Bleeding Cool.

Teaser images for ‘Dexter: New Blood’ hint at what’s to come

There are still a couple of months to go until the premiere of Dexter: New Blood, but in the meantime, Showtime has been keeping fans entertained with teaser images. Since July, the Dexter: New Blood Instagram page has been dropping photos and videos that hint at more chaos as Dexter tries to blend in with the local community. He seems to be well known to residents, but little do they know, he’s harboring some deep, dark secrets.

“Jimmy seems nice. Quiet but nice,” reads the caption on a video of Dexter looking suspicious.

When does ‘Dexter: New Blood’ start?

Dexter: New Blood will premiere on Showtime on Sunday, Nov. 7 at 9 p.m. ET. It’s unclear if the show will have more episodes beyond the 10 that have been promised, but either way, Hall has suggested the ending will at least leave viewers satisfied.

“I certainly do hope that watching the show is a satisfying experience for people who watched it originally and are curious about what happened to him,” Hall said in August at Showtime’s TCA presentation for the show, per Variety. “I certainly hope it does provide some definitive answers that aren’t primarily mystifying to people.”
