Bobby is “chill” about most things. He pays for burger tots with coins, and he loves Sam’s “night eggs.” However, nothing is chill about these new feelings that he’s experiencing. Here’s what we know about Bobby Cañero-Reed in season 2 of the Disney+ original series, Diary of a Future President

Bobby had a secret crush on Liam during ‘Diary of a Future President’ season 1

Bobby Cañero-Reed is chill about most things. He has a chill relationship with his mom’s boyfriend and his sister. While still in middle school, this character was also named the tennis team captain, often doing doubles with Liam, the new boy in school.

This close relationship with Liam eventually became a crush. Although Bobby had a hard time admitting it, he wanted to attend the middle school dance with Liam and, of course, wanted to say out loud that he was gay.

When the Diary of a Future President characters got to high school, Liam started dating someone else. It crushed Bobby, especially seeing them so “couple-y.” However, Bobby quickly forgot about this crush when he met the older and “cooler” boy named CJ.

Bobby revealed a new crush during season 2 of the Disney+ original series, ‘Diary of a Future President’

During season 2 of Diary of a Future President, Bobby Cañero-Reed entered the world of high school. That meant new clubs, new friends, and even a new crush. That was on a junior named CJ, who attended “Night League” with him.

After coming out to Elena, his friends, and the rest of his family, Bobby invited CJ out to get burger tots. It ended in a pretty romantic kiss and the two walking to Bobby’s house, hand in hand.

Things got a little complicated for this character during the finale, though, when Liam figured out Bobby had a crush on him during middle school. It was, of course, too late for Liam to say anything because Bobby was already with CJ.

What’s next for Bobby Cañero-Reed and other members of his family?

When it comes to school-related problems, Bobby seems to be doing well. He earned the nickname “Speech Master” after crushing a challenging assignment. He was even named Mr. Manatee before the title was abolished due to being super heteronormative.

He might not have tennis anymore, but he does still have night league and his permit. Bobby could even get his license in a future episode of this original series.

Disney+ has not confirmed Diary of a Future President for its third season. Still, with Elena’s “wait, what” during the season 2 finale, fans are pretty optimistic about more episodes featuring the Cañero-Reed family.

Episodes of Diary of a Future President are available for streaming on Disney+.
