Suppose you’re looking for something new to binge-watch. Disney’s streaming platform has several episodes of original shows and already-released series’ coming to their library, including Diary of a Future President and Marvel’s What If.

Here are some series to watch on Disney+ during August 2021.

‘Diary of a Future President’

Elena Cañero-Reed is on the path to success. Along the way, though, she finds support in her friends and family. She found her “raisin for being” and navigated her first crush on the insanely adorable Joey Feldstein.

Now, this character is ready to tackle another year of middle school. The entire second season of Diary of a Future President joins the Disney+ streaming library on Aug. 18

‘Short Circuit’

Disney+ already released several animated short shows, including Forky Asks a Question. Their latest project, Short Circuit, features more animated characters. Season 2 of this Disney+ original premieres on Aug. 4.

‘America’s Funniest Home Videos: Animal Edition’

Originally released in 1989, this comedy series features plenty of gags and embarrassing videos shot by family members and friends. Some seasons of this show are already available for binge-watching on Disney+. However, the first season of America’s Funniest Home Videos: Animal Edition premieres on this streaming platform on Aug. 4.

‘Disney The Owl House’

When one teenager stumbles upon a portal to a magical realm, this character began a new adventure toward becoming a witch. This animated series first premiered on Disney’s television network, Disney Channel. Now, five episodes of this series join the Disney+ streaming library on Aug. 18.

Season 2 of The Mandalorian included a pretty surprising cameo from one beloved Jedi. How did they do it? Star Wars fans can learn more about this moment with the documentary series, Disney Gallery: Star Wars—The Mandalorian.

The finale of this Disney+ original series premieres on Aug. 25. Until then, entire seasons of the Star Wars live-action series are available on Disney’s subscription service.

‘What If…?’

As Marvel Studios’ first animated series, What If brings viewers into a “multiverse of unlimited possibilities.” This show features beloved characters from blockbusters like Black Panther, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Iron Man. Episodes will be available beginning on Aug. 11.

Additionally, new episodes of Disney+ original shows debut weekly. That includes the Disney and Pixar animated series Monsters at Work, Star Wars: The Bad Batch, The Mysterious Benedict Society, and Turner and Hooch.

The streaming platform also releases several movies during August 2021. For the first time, the live-action film Cruella, starring Emma Stone, will be available to all subscribers. Disney+ also adds movies like Mrs. Doubtfire and Aquamarine to their streaming library.
