‘Diary of a Future President’ Season 2 Has an Official Disney+ Premiere Date
Whether Eleña is finding her raisin or Bobby is winning a tennis match, this family is always there for each other. Disney+ subscribers met the Cañero-Reed family with the original comedy series, Diary of a Future President.
During summer 2021, season 2 debuts on Disney’s streaming platform.
Disney+ premiered the first episode of its original series, ‘Diary of a Future President’ in January 2020
Disney released several original shows on their streaming platform during 2020, including The Mandalorian season 2 and Muppets Now. Diary of a Future President also premiered its first episode in January 2020.
This series introduced viewers to the Cañero-Reed family. That included the bubbly over-achieving middle school student named Elena and her “chill” older brother named Bobby. Some things that happened to these characters weren’t exactly “chill,” especially when it came to school and home drama.
These characters appeared in several episodes of Diary of a Future President. After months of anticipation, these characters return for new episodes premiering exclusively on Disney’s streaming platform.
‘Diary of a Future President’ season 2 premieres on Disney+ on Aug. 18
Cast members announced that this series was renewed for its second season in 2020. Months later, fans learned of the premiere date for Diary of a Future President will be Aug. 18, 2021.
“We are so excited for season 2 and cannot wait to share this next chapter of Diary with viewers,” creator Ilana Peña said during an interview with What’s On What’s Good. “This season, Elena will inch closer to the bright future we know she achieves, but like any origin story, her journey is not without its hurdles and heartaches.”
“She and her family and friends will all continue to grow up and come into their own this year,” she continued. “I promise you’ll laugh, I’m pretty sure you’ll cry, and most of all, I hope this season is as meaningful to watch as it was for all of us to make.”
Unlike High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, all episodes of this series debut on the streaming platform on the same day. In the meantime, the first season of Diary of a Future President is available on Disney+.
