Not only are the powerhouse couples super successful and wealthy, but they’re also powerful in terms of their love. So, of course, when it came time for the duos to tie the knot, both dished out a lot of money for the big days. But which celebrity pairing’s wedding had the highest price tag?

As one might expect from the celebrity couple who’s worth well over $1 billion combined, Beyoncé and Jay-Z spared no expense when it came to their lavish — and ultra-private — nuptials.
The pair tied the knot inside the rapper’s New York City penthouse on April 4, 2008. Unlike some celebrities who invited hundreds of people to celebrate their love, Bey and Jay only hosted a couple dozen of their closest friends and family as they wanted to keep their big day low-key.
But despite having an intimate affair, Beyoncé and Jay-Z still went all out when planning their wedding.

Like Bey and Jay, Kardashian West and West also spent a pretty penny on their lavish nuptials.
The two tied the knot on May 24, 2014, in Florence, Italy, and invited 200 of their closest friends and family.
According to E! News, KimYe went all out for the special day, hiring a top-notch catering company to serve their guests, paying for hundreds of rooms at a lavish hotel to accommodate everyone, and renting out the historic Forte di Belvedere venue for their ceremony.
The “Stronger” rapper even got singer Lana Del Ray to perform during their pre-wedding celebration in Paris, which alone cost him millions of dollars.
Which A-listers’ wedding cost more?
Though both couples had weddings that cost them a lot of money, one duo’s big day cost more than the other.
According to E! News, KimYe’s nuptials came with a $2.8 million price tag, but that’s not including their pre-wedding festivities that took place in Paris. In addition to their big day, West also spent between $2 million and $4 million on the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star’s engagement ring, per The Knot.
As for Bey and Jay, their wedding was also pretty expensive, even though they kept it low-key.
Not only did Jay-Z dish out a whopping $5 million on the “Crazy In Love” singer’s engagement ring, but they reportedly spent an eye-watering $8 million on 70,000 white dendrobium orchids, which were flown in for the wedding from Thailand.
From the musicians’ wedding decor and Beyoncé’s engagement ring alone, their big day certainly surpassed Kardashian and West’s.
But despite whose wedding cost more, both celebrity couples still had two of the most expensive ceremonies in the 21st century!
