‘WandaVision’ led to the birth of Scarlett Witch

Disney+’s WandaVision gave Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) her own storyline that would lead to the birth of her primary comic book persona. Grieving Vision’s (Paul Bettany) death, Wanda unknowingly unleashes her powers to create a fabricated reality in a remote town in New Jersey. In her fabricated world, Wanda brings Vision back and lives the everyday sitcom life she always wanted.

The central villain of the series is a witch named Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahns), who wants to absorb Wanda’s powers. Their battle leads Wanda to tap into her Chaos Magic and become Scarlet Witch by the end of the series. WandaVision unknowingly had a small Easter egg that possibly ties to Spider-Man: Far From Home.

Wanda has August 23 marked on her calender

According to Comicbook.com, a fan pointed out that August 23 appears in an episode of WandaVision. Wanda and Vision’s calendar has a heart marked on the date. Unsure of what the heart means, the two characters are left pondering why the date is marked.

Vision states he is incapable of forgetting anything, and Wanda was looking forward to the day. It is no coincidence that Marvel included such a small detail in the show to later be the exact debut date for the Spider-Man: No Way Home teaser. Comicbook also theorizes that the date is about Avengers #238, which includes Vision and Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris).
