While you’re waiting for the Olympics, catch up with Disney Channel’s own version of the competition. For the first time ever, the 2008 version of The Disney Channel Games joins Disney’s streaming platform.

That includes Kevin, Joe, and Nick Jonas, who appeared on different teams for this series.

What were the ‘Disney Channel Games?’

The Disney Channel actors had a few crossover moments in their original shows. They also united for a few projects, including the “green” initiative Friends for Change

For another charity-related project, some actors teamed up for The Disney Channel Games, an Olympics-esque competition with different teams and fan-favorite cast members. That includes the Jonas Brothers.

For the 2008 version of this show, Inside the Magic reported that 37 different Disney Channel stars united to compete for charity. They were divided into different groups based on their outfit colors.

The Inferno/Red Team represented the Boys and Girls Club of America. The Lightning/Blue Team competed for the Starlight Children’s Foundation. The Cyclones/Green Team represented UNICEF. The Comets/Yellow Team competed for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the charity overseen by the Walt Disney Company.

As the stars of both the television series Jonas, its spinoff Jonas LA, and the Disney Channel movie franchise, Camp Rock, Kevin, Joe, and Nick Jonas competed in the 2008 Disney Channel Games on different teams.

Nick Jonas appeared on the Red Team, along with Jason Earles from Hannah Montana and the team captain, Brenda Song from The Suite Life of Zack and Cody.

Joe Jonas was on the Green Team, with the captain, David Henrie, from Wizards of Waverly Place and Jason Dolley from Good Luck Charlie and Cory in the House.

Kevin Jonas was the captain of the Yellow Team, competing with actors like Selena Gomez from Wizards of Waverly Place and Sabrina Bryan from The Cheetah Girls: One World.

‘The Disney Channel Games’ are now on Disney’s subscription service

For several episodes, these actors competed in team-related challenges, earning points along the way as fans across the country cheered for their favorite groups. Now, all episodes of the 2008 version of The Disney Channel Games are available for streaming on Disney’s subscription service, Disney+.

“The Disney Channel Games are more fun,” Jennifer Stone of Wizards of Waverly Place, said during an interview with Scholastic. “The Olympics are more serious because they have been training for them their entire lives.”

Disney+ already houses plenty of content featuring the Jonas Brothers. That includes their comedy series, Jonas, as well as the episode of Hannah Montana where they performed “We Got the Party.” There’s no word regarding other seasons of The Disney Channel Games and their debut on the subscription service.
