With Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Candace Against the Universe now available for streaming on Disney+, fans wonder if Disney has plans to revive some of its iconic Disney Channel original series and movies. Here’s what we know about future content debuting on the streaming platform

There’s already a few Disney Channel spinoffs available exclusively on Disney+

With 104 days of summer vacation, these brothers are always looking for a good way to spend their time. Through all of their crazy adventures, one thing always stays the same — Phineas and Ferb always drive their sister, Candace, insane. Well, not this time. Now, Candace is the star of her own movie, available on Disney’s streaming platform, Disney+.

The out-of-this-world animated movie, Phineas and Ferb The Movie: Candace Against the Universe, is directly from Disney Television Animation. It also includes an original soundtrack and a number of the actors from the original Disney Channel series.

‘Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Candace Against the Universe’ premiered on the streaming platform during August 2020

This movie stars the underappreciated older sister of Phineas and Ferb, voiced by Ashley Tisdale. Candace is finally here to tell her story and that may or may not include an alien abduction and the secret agent, Perry the Platypus.

According to Geeks and Gamers, Disney originally announced this movie would premiere on the Disney+ streaming platform on April 11, 2019. Over a year later, the movie made an appearance on the Disney+ library.

Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Candace Against the Universe debuted on Aug. 28 and is currently available for streaming, as are most episodes of the original series. This isn’t the only Disney Channel joining Disney+, though.
